I smiled, "it's a makeshift one now I suppose." My heart didn't sink, it lifted. This was better than what I was going back to, I had no ties anywhere...but here now. Colt and Trinity had become sorta like my family.
Colt didn't want to pull away, but htey both had to breath. HE pulled away resting his forehead on her's. "Your irresistable, you know it?" He smiled, "It's just not fair."
"So stop denying it." He kissed her again pulling her close. When he pulled away he leaned his forehead back against her's. "Would you mind if we were never found?"
Every fear I held inside me fluttered away and I threw my arms around his neck and plastered myself to him. Never again would we be apart, I vowed, never. Never would I be alone again.
As independent and proud of that I was, I was happy to leave the lonely bit of it behind.
I would have responded but the lump and the knot in my throat refused to let anything through, just a single tear of joy slipped down my cheek. I tightened my hold on him. Hoping that it was enough to say what I wanted to say.
