"Let's get there, I think it's just going to rain, but we need to get under shelter in case." He smiled. THey walked into the lean to's and they sat down.
"These are cool!" Trinity exclaimed, "I can go sees either you or miss Inez if I get scared!"
I rubbed her head and laid down in the now less cramped space. My gaze drawn instantly to Colts butt for a moment, before Trinity laid down and her head crossed my view. I was relieved, it woulda been embarresing to becaught staring at it.
Colt sat down on the edge of the lean-to, he didn't want to leave yet. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed, he looked back at Inez and Trinity. It was like they were his family. But in a way they weren't. He couldn't hold Inez like she was his wife. He wouldn't want to scare her, he didnt want to lose her. Time would allow him to love her with all he had. To show her just how much she meant to him. But he wasn't about to rush anything.
"So you like it Trinity?" He asked smiling.
"You bet!" She grinned leaning her head against Inez.
I wrapped my arm around Trinity's shoulder and glanced up at Colt. I couldn't quite place the expression on his face. He looked happy and but he was also looking at me wairly, like he was afraid I would attack him, or he would frighten me.
Colt's eyes met Inez's and he smiled a little then looked at Trinity. "How about we put that fence up tomorrow, unless it is raining. It'll be a lot of work, but I think we can do it." He smiled, she nodded. "You can help to if you want, Inez." He smiled.
"Stay here." Colt said to Trinity. He ran after Inez wanting to lend any helping had he could. When they got to the medical lean-to he stopped. It was fuller then when he was there last. He really needed to make a bigger facility. Maybe one where everyone was in there own lean-to. "Whats wrong?" he asked the guy.
"I'll make a new lean-to, like the ones I made for us. I'll put a fence around it so others won't go there." He said,
"I'll help." A guy vollnteered. Several others did too and Colt ndoded.
"WE'll be bakc when it is done." He told Inez kissing her forehead and giving her should a squeeze. "If you need anything tell me."
They headed off to go build the lean-tos. With the help he should be able to get it done in a day. He had a plan of seven-leantos with a walk way to each. Then a fence. He had four other guys. He would team them up and get to work.
I looked the man over, he didn't have any injuries. He just had a disease. A disease that I luckily knew how to treat without medicine. After a while he stopped coughing up blood. I sighed glad that it was waining, but he still needed to be quarenteened.
Colt finished the first one and sent one of the guys back to tell Inez so they could move the sickest into it so it wouldn't have a chance to spread. He was worried about her. He didn't want her to get sick. SOme how he would have to find a way to make this safer for her. THere had to be something on that plane that could help but he wasn't sure what.
They moved the man to the quarenteen leanto while I followed. I knew I was already going to get sick, this was a disease that wasn't included in my vaccienes. But that didn't stop me. He needed help. I would just stay away from Colt and Trinity.
Colt stopped Inez, "How are you going to keep from getting sick. I don't want to have to make you quarenteen, I couldn't stand not being able to see you." He said looking down at her.
"I was hoping there was a medical mask somewhere, even mine would work, it's weeks old but it's better than nothing." My heart soared at his words and shrank when I realized that was what had to happen if I did get sick. Oh god please don't let me get sick.
