Lost and Found

Colt---

"D-do you really think one might?" She asked,

"Doubt it, it isn't the season, but I just wanted to make sure." He smiled comfortingly. "I want to be prepaired for everything. WE will have coverage from the trees and the sturdier walls. When I can get an ax like tool I'll be able to build actual houses, though I dont' know how long it will be until I can do that."

Inez

I relaxed, but only slightly. I still didn't like the thought of things piling on top of me. OR this place, the only thing that had ever felt like home, falling to bits.

Colt---

"We better go check on Trinity. I dont' want anything to happen to her." Colt said. "You can stay and look it over if you want. But until I get a fence up I don't want ot leave her alone for to long. That was quiet a scare."

Inez

We found her still sleeping by the tree, Colt picked her up and carried her to her lean-to, and then they returned to mine.

Colt----

Colt looked at Inez, he wanted to hold her. To pull her close and feel her lips on his own, he didn't want to scare her. For her to feel like he was rushing her. He just crossed his arms and smiled. "So, what else would you like on this island that is acheiveable?"

Inez

It had enough for me, it was already like my home. It was a better home than I'd ever had. Out of the one I could remember. But right now I just wanted him to be a little closer to me. But did I dare say that? Nooo, god no, I was too afraid he would think something awful of me.

Colt----

Colt sat down and looked out the doorway watching the other civilians walking around, most stayed in their lean-tos because they were still sick. Two had died from injuries and had been burried. All the other bodies had been placed in a lean-to far away from the group until they could burry them. There was no door on those lean-tos, just a moveable roof so that the wild animals couldn't get to them. Colt looked at Inez and smiled. He stood up and walk towards her. His hand wanted to reach out and stroke her face, to pull her close. He fought the urge losing into it. HIs finger slowly traced her jaw line again stopping at her chin. He gently pushed it up as his lips fell over her's.

Inez

My heart and mind exploded. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pressed him tighter. I felt like I had known him before, I was almost sure I did. But I'd save that until I actually knew for sure. If I did, who would he have been? He lived on a farm, I lived in the streets

Colt---

Colt ran his hands through her hair and held her tighter. When they pulled apart Colt felt breathless. He looked into her eyes and smiled, "I'm not getting annoying am I?" He asked softly.

Inez

I laughed softly, "no, I don't think you ever could."

He laughed and kissed her forehead, "good."

Colt---

Colt's heart lept into his throat when she said that. He was so happy she didn't mind. He smiled and leaned his forehead against her's. "I might sooner or later." He laughed, "Just tell me if I am."

He didn't want to move, just to stand there looking at her. Memorizing every inch of her face.

Inez

I snickered, "am I really that interesting to look at?"

"yes, the most interesting thing I've ever seen actually."

"Bu-"

He silenced me with a kiss. That was probably how we were going to end all our arguements, with one of us getting the other to shut up by kissing them.

Colt---

Colt smiled as he pulled away. "Now, how about we make something for Trinity?" He looked around. "WE could decorate her knew lean-to with flowers or something, what do you think?"

Inez

"Or perhaps a pillow," I said recalling how often I would wake up half way through my rest and find that my arm was sore. Pillows were always welcome when she could find them. "Propping your head up on your arm never works as well."

Colt---

Colt thought then smiled, "We could take a shirt and stuff them with leaves or something. I'm sure that could work as a pillow. I've been missing that too. My arm is killing me." He laughed,
