Drake

I watched her expression for a while, trying to decipher her thoughts through it. Shock, definately; maybe even love and hope. Whatever she was feeling, I had induced it.

I chuckled. "You're cute when you blush."

That made her blush brighter. I rested my forehead against hers.

"Not that you weren't beautiful to begin with."

"Um...th-thank you?"

I smiled, kissing her very lightly once. "You're welcome, love."

Love. That's what I felt. Undoubtedly. I loved her!

I pulled away and sat on the countertop as we waited for Tegan.

Alana:

Alana sat there blinking. Love. He had called her LOVE. She fiddled with her hair a habit she thought she had kicked a long time ago. She glanced up at him and studied his facal features. She took a deep breath and her fingers went to her lips. She could still feel his pressed against her own. Oh, she felt like a love sick puppy for sure, but she couldn't kick it. TAking a deep breath she bit her lower lip fiddling with her hair again. Their eyes met and she felt the flame behind her cheeks light up again as she started to blush. She looked down at the ground and at her hands.

You fool, you stupid stupid fool. Your acting like some kid! She screamed at herself. She frowned, this was going to be interesting.

Sounds great to me! Can't start NOW, though... I'm school. XP I'll probably get on at home--if my allergies aren't still bothering me.

*I was in Naples! Awesomeness.*

Tegan knelt in front of me and put his hand under my chin.

"Do you want to talk? I'll listen."

I shook my head. "No need to bother you with any of it," I said, standing up and moving out to my fire-escape. "You can go."

"You're obviously in a state," he said, following me.

I paused, looking out over the city. "I'm caught in the middle, can't you see that?" I said. "My sister, she's a Breedmate, and as happy as can be. But Sam... Sam's a mess. He didn't want to be a vampire, but he is. Because of me. And then last night, and I got caught up with you people and..." I sighed. "You're all up for going and murdering them. And I can't deal with that. I used to be able to think that Sam could look after himself, he wouldn't get into trouble, but he's going to. And what if you, or Drake, or Alana kills him and I could have stopped you? How do you think I'd feel?"

He didn't answer for a moment, then said "Death is inevitable."

"Tell me about it," I said. "But murder isn't."

Tegan

I stepped up to her and turned her back towards me.

"Listen carefully, Jenna," I almost whispered, voice firm but soft. "There are exceptions with Rogues. It's a once-in-a-lifetime chance, but it does happen.

"If you give me a picture of your brother, I will be able to find him, and maybe even turn him. Maybe. It would take time, though."

She looked like she didn't believe me.

"I promise I won't let him die. Okay?"

Jenna-

I paused.

"If you don't agree, then that's okay," Tegan said and began to walk away.

"Could you really do it?" I asked. "Could you help him?" My voice reduced itself to a whisper.

He turned back. "I think so," he said slowly.

I ran over to the table and grabbed a chair. Standing on it, I pulled his picture off the wall. It was of Sam and I, three weeks before he had been changed, on the beach in our swimstuff.

I pushed it into Tegan's hands. "Tegan, if you can... if you can do this, I'll be in debt to you for the rest of my life."

He nodded curtly. "And will you complain about the others?"

"Just... don't kill unless you have to, okay?"

Tegan

I understood what she was saying, but I also knew it was near impossible. As soon as we envaded, they would attack us.

"I'll try."

I walked away, putting the picture in my pocket.

I shot to my feet as Tegan entered the room, tucking a folded piece of paper into his pocket. He was silent, thoughtful even, as he joined us on the way to the door; we grabbed our weapons - freshly cleaned and or reloaded - as we passed.

I turned to Alana. "You ready?"

She nodded, half shrugging. "I think so."

I touched her face once. "Good. Remember what I told you?"

"Remember what I told you?"

We chuckled as Tegan called for us to keep moving. And with that, we were gone.

Alana:

Alana ran after the others keeping up with them. As they got closer they stopped. "I'll go up front." She said looking at them. Tegan started foreward again and she grabbed Drake's arm. "Be careful, please." She looked into his eyes hoping he would listen. She didn't want to lose him. He was the only one that had truely been able to get close after her brother had died, and she trusted him. She really trusted him fully, with no doubt. IF she lost him she didn't know what she would do. "Please."

(Time for 'ol Phndin to get back in the fold. Hope you don't mind; there should probably be a little organization on the side of the Rogues.)

Dr. Greye was high off his success.

The Breed base had proved to be a perfect place for his work. It hadn't taken long to set up, and his hard earned studies were finally yielding fruit.

Glorious, glorious fruit.

To his left lay Walter, the dead man who was no longer dead. The scientific community had scoffed at his ideas of artificial life, but here it was. A triumph of science. The man had already been a physical powerhouse, but he was reborn as little short of a god. Rather like a super hero, actually--near-impervious with enormous strength and speed. His blood had been infused with a chemical that made his body stronger than most metal.

To his right lay a man. Nothing was particularly special about the man, apart from the fact that he had once been a vampire, and now…

Well, now he was just a normal man.

So simple, really. A cure in liquid form. Dr. Greye held the antidote up to his eye, where it sat in a tiny, corked tube. Years of work. Years, years, years…

He smiled and pocketed the antidote. The droves Rogues shuffled around him, irked and anxious, as if waiting.

Just what exactly would occur tonight? Dr. Greye wanted dearly to know.

(Hope that isn't too much of a plot twist, but I think a cure could help you guys with your conflicts. =P)

**It's about damn time you posted! LOL Welcome back.**

Drake

I smiled, kissing her one final time. "I will be."

I took off, disappearing into the shadows of an alley.

Jenna-

I sighed, unsure of what to do. Should I follow them? But after all that had happened, that probably wasn't a good idea for me. I was still kind of sore, not to mention just the tiniest bit afraid of, oh, getting shot and dying perhaps.

Instead I made myself a mug of hot chocolate and took my complete works of Shakespeare out. I listened to something on my iPod, and texted a friend asking what was up. I was completely ready for a quiet night in.

Except I wasn't. I wanted to be, but I wasn't.

I sighed and slammed the book shut.

I wouldn't go anywhere near Commerce Street, I promised myself. I would go visit my parents or something. This had nothing to do with Tegan, or Sam or any of that. I was just restless, that was all.

That's what I told myself.

Sam-

I stretched and yawned. I ached all over from my fight with Naomi, but worse was the craving for blood. I tried to fight it, I did, but it was hard.

I pulled on some clean clothes and headed towards the Breed Base to see who was there.

((Sorry it took so long...last week was hell!!!))

Name: Aiden Vecicci
Race: Vampire
Age: 26-ish
Team: Rogue
Background: He isn't one to share his past. With anyone. He's sadistic and finds it extremely pleasurable to watch things suffer.
Appearance: 6"1, black hair, reddish-brown eyes that turn scarlet after he's finished a 'meal'. He tends to hide his fangs until he finds a victim, but he's willing to 'show them off' just about any time.

**We'll finish this with the base invasion and battle. Then I'll start a sequel; maybe it will be more successful.**

Drake

I pulled Tegan to the side, making sure no one was around or listening.

"Tegan, you've got to stay focused. No side trips this time," I told him firmly.

He scoffed.

"Listen! We are going to do a sweep of the perimeter first, see about how many we're up against, then move in once Alana makes her move. Okay?"

"Fine. Whatever."

I sighed as he walked away, looking around.

Alana:

Alana carefully moved towards the front of the building. The easiest way to get the Rouges out was to draw blood, her blood. Pulling off on of the scabs on her cut would do that easy. It wouldn't hurt her, but it would get their attention. She waited fifteen minutes before she pulled the scab off and made sure the wind was moving towards the base. She fired one shot waiting. As she had predicted the Rouges came out. A little faster tehn she had expected. But they came out. There was four of them. SHe could see more up around the base.

"Come on, a lil' closer." She thought from her hiding spot aiming her gun at the first Rouge.

*Hope this works. What kind o sequal?*
