Drake

I moved around the building one last time, recounting the Rogues. Tell me I was wrong in counting eighteen...meaning there could be more!

Damn. Just what we need...unfavorable odds.

That's when I heard it. The gunshot. Alana's signal.

All right. Time to move! I roared, leaping down on top of two Rogues as the scampered out the side door of the base.

Alana:

Alana shot one of the vampires in the throat right where the bone was supposed to be. She watched him fall to the ground then turn to dust. She smiled and then aimed again. She fired again.

I really hope Drake is ok. She sighed inwardly aiming yet again. She waited though as the Rouges tried to find another way to get to her without being shot.

So that's what it was. An attack. The Breed were trying to regain their base.

Presently, Dr. Greye cared little for the state of the base. He had already completed his two most prized experiments… though the battle could prove to useful. He could, for instance, test the abilities of the new Walter--the faster, stronger and near-invincible Walter that had been brought back from the brink of death with mechanical enhancement.

Meanwhile, Dr. Greye would wait inside the baseand gague the outcome of the skirmish.

---

Walter stood. He looked around.

He heard a gunshot. His body shook. He remembered being shot. Not much of it. But some.

He remembered that it hurt.

Walter threw himself from the base. He crashed through the nearest wall. He landed on the street.

Alana stood in front of him. She killed many Rogues with her gun. Walter sprinted at her. He outstretched his hand.

We wanted to crush her.

Alana:

Alana looked at Walter her mouth hanging open. He was alive, that couldn't be. She raised her gun up again and tried to fire, but the gun just clicked. NO! She grabbed a few bullets from her pocket, but couldn't get them in the gun in time to also get away from Walter. She jumped up and ran away from the Rouges and Walter only managing to get herself cornered.

Come on, Drake, blow the place up! She screamed in her head. She needed help. She quickly fed her gun the bullets and waited for a good shot at Walter doubting it would come.

Tegan

I leapt through a window, ignoring the pain of the shattering glass as it cut into my face and arms. I would deal with that later.

I drew my scythes and slashed at the first Rogue I encountered, quickly taking him by the throat and chest. He melted to black dust as I moved out of the room and down the hall, looking for my next victim while I searched for Sean...

Save Sean in the process. That was my promise.

Walter kept coming. Still sprinting. Still charging.

Alana fired in response. One bullet flew at him. Walter cocked his head. The bullet flew pass.

Another hit him directly in the chest. It bounced off. The impact caused Walter to sway.

Walter shook his head. He kept coming. Slower this time. Hand outstretched.

Alana:

Alana wanted to scream when the bullet bounced off him. She looked for a way of escape, but couldn't find one. what is he? She wanted to know. She fired again, and the bullet bounced off again.

"What are you!" She screamed shooting one of the Rouges down. She wanted to cry. She had to find some way out of there and fast!

*It'll work perfectly. ^^* *By the way, feel free to murder Aiden...since you're ending this and starting a new one, in any case!*

There was a human in our midsts...and a delicious one at that. Whatever caused the stupid thing to make itself--no, herself...that was definately a female I was smelling--cut herself, I didn't care. I just knew I wanted blood and I wanted a lot of it.

"Found it," I purred, whipping around the corner. I spotted the poor thing armed with four of us, and a few more coming, surrounding her. Oh, this would be fun.

*tell me if I should change it...I'm just so tired. T^T*

Walter turned. He glared at the Rogues. They surrounded the girl.

They wanted his prey.

"Back off," Walter said. His voice was toneless and mechanical.

"She's mine."

Alana:

Alana whimpered as she looked around ready to shoot something.

Jenna-

It was typical of me, I tried everything to stay away from the Base, but somehow, I found myself going down that tunnel anyway, with a piece of lead piping in hand. I couldn't just abandon the others like that.

And I couldn't leave Sam like that.

Sam-

Alana was there, the human girl. I remembered her, a neighbour of Jenna's.

Just then, another Breed jumped at me. I kicked him hard in the gut, and once he was down I began punching him hard in the face, sitting on his chest. They were weak. Breeds thought they could fight, but they didn't have to fight to survive. We did. And we were better.

Drake

I caught Alana's scent on the wind. She was bleeding! Had she been hurt? Was she in danger?

I heard her squeak in fear; great! They had her cornered, no doubt!

"Alana!" I roared, emptying my pistol in a couple of oncoming Rogues as I barreled down the alley, loading a new clip in the process.

Tegan

I growled as Sean kicked me in the stomach again. I couldn't let him do this, but I couldn't kill him, either...Great!

I yelled ferociously as I slipped away from his attacks and punched him.

Alana:

Alana heard Drake and her heart sank. He was going to get hurt, or worse, he was going to get killed! "WATCH OUT FOR WALTER!" She yelled firing at another Rouge and then at Walter hoping to slow him down.

The bullet hit. Walter stumbled back.

He saw Drake. Coming for his prey.

Not acceptable.

Walter leaped at Drake. He grabbed at his neck. He wanted to crush it.

My yelp was muffled as rock-hard hands closed around my throat, the force enough to stop my breath. I groaned when Walter lifted me off of my feet and continued to strangle me.

Shit! This isn't good!

I fumbled for my pistol as my vision began to go black. One shot. I needed one shot!

I felt the gun at my fingertips, in my hand, in my grasp. I centered the pistol on Walter's chest, and fired.

I cried out as I was suddenly loose, but blood seeped from a wound to my side. The bullet had ricocheted and hit me!

I rolled to my feet. The wound stung, but it would take much more to stop me. Much more. After all, I'd fed and was stronger than ever. Deep within me, I felt rage building, a desire to kill to protect Alana. Let Tegan deal with the base!

I snarled, a beastial sound, as my eyes glowed amber.
