Alana:

"Drake!" Alana gasped as his bullet struck him. She shot several other Rouges then tried to make her way to him. But Walter was in her way. She shot at Walter hoping to give Drake a chance to get away or do whatever it was he planned to do. "Please be ok." she barely whispered as she shot more rouges.

*again, sorry*

Alana's shot hit Walter in the shoulder. He snorted.

Annoyed.

He punched the building to his left. Debris and rubble fell from the impact.

Walter lifted the largest of the chunks. He hurled it back at Alana.

Then Drake was back on him. Walter grabbed for his arm.

He snared it. He then hurled Drake upward. Toward a window.

***How many of you are willing to join the sequel?***

Drake

I yelped when Walter tossed me through a window as if I were a rag doll. Glass shattered around me, cut into me, and the hard floor stunned me. I rolled all the way across the room, where I slowly got to my feet.

Hurry, Tegan! The sooner, the better!

Tegan

I placed another punch to Sean's face, and the boy stumbled. Before he hit the ground, I landed a kick to his stomach, stunning him long enough to bind his hands and put a gag on him.

Part one, done.

Taking him outside and locking him within a windowless storage room, I darted back in to finish part two.

****ME!!!!****

Alana:

Alana gasped as Drake flew through the window. "Drake?!" She whispered. She aimed the gun again at Walter's head and fired empting the gun then refiling it again. "I'm gonna kill you." She whispered hoarsly. "Again." She had to find his weak spot though, and that would prove to be hard, very hard.

Walter hurled more of the rubble at Alana.

Then he punched at the building Drake had flown into.

Hard. Fast.

Quickly crushing the foundation.

Walter wanted the building to crash down onto Drake.

Alana:

Alana bit her lip as a piece of rubble hit her head. Everything started going black but she fought it as she felt blood trickle down her face. Everything finally came back into focus and she looked around spotting Walter. Most of the Rouges had stopped to watch the fight, but when her blood started flowing again they were sprung back into action forcing her to shoot at them again. She shot at Walter whenever seh could hoping to give Drake enough time to get out.

After awhile she leaned against a building still firing, but she was feeling tired, limp. Her head was pounding in her ears and she could barely lift the gun, but she did. She had to help Drake, she had to stay alive.

Drake

I leapt out of the way as parts of the ceiling came down on me. What had happened to Walter? How had this whole incident gotten so out of control?! And where the hell was Tegan?!

I barrelled toward Walter, narrowly avoiding a piece of rubble. One of few chances, if any...that was all I had.

I feinted, jumping onto his back rather than around him. Putting him in a headlock, I pulled a knife out of my boot and tried stabbing his shoulder. Hardly any damage! All I left was a bruise!

Fine. I snarled as I bit down on the softest part of anyone's body, hoping to do something to him: his neck.

*I'll join the sequel--I've just been too busy to actually make a GOOD reply to this. So sorry. T^T*

Drake's teeth sank in. Walter yelled.

Yet Drake would have it little better. Walter's blood, chemically altered, would taste like oil.

Walter turned. Alana's shots were bothering him. He used Drake as a shield for the bullets.

Then struggled to get Drake off him. He pounded at him with crushing elbows and fists.

**I'm blank on Drake...ugh...**

Tegan

I took a knife to the gas lines, splitting them wide open. Gas spilled onto the floor of the basement.

Perfect.

I took a match, lit it, and dropped it, then got the hell out of there.

I hit the streets and began running. I had to find Drake and Alana. They had to get out of there.

Sam-

He tied me up and left me somewhere. I couldn't believe it. I was a good fighter! How had it come to this?

Jenna-

"Drake! Alana! Let's go!"

I heard Tegan's voice. I looked over to where he was standing. My eyes darted to a lit match on the ground. And back to his face.

I ran. I'm a coward when it comes to it.

"Tegan, where the hell is my brother?" I screamed at him.

**I'm going to go ahead and finish up this battle. Let's leave it as a stalemate for now, so we can have something to build off of in the next one. And don't worry; no one's characters are dead! We need to start the sequel soon...this one is dying.**

Tegan

I saw Jenna nearby. She had followed us? No matter; she was involved now, and that was that.

"Sam's safe! He's out of the way! Now, go!" I raced past Drake and Walter, using my scythe against Walter's chest. The blow barely harmed him. What the fuck...? That's not normal.

Drake hesitated, glaring at his opponent coldly, ruthlessly. What was he thinking? Then, as Alana fell in step beside me and ran with me, just as I reached Jenna and led her on, Drake darted. In another direction. Toward the building.

I skid to a halt. "What the hell are you doing?! Drake, it's about to go!"

"Get them out of here! I'll keep the Rogues in range!"

"You're in range! Get out of there!"

"Get them out of here! I'll be fine!"

And the building finally blew. The gasoline ignited and exploded, taking the building and nearest Rogues with it. The shock waves knocked us off of our feet, and dust and flame were thick in the air. I couldn't see Walter or Drake. Were they dead?

Alana whimpered beside me, trembling as she stared at the burning area. "Drake?"

I swallowed hard and searched for him, trying to find traces of his blood or life.

"Drake?!"

He was there. And he was alive. I sighed. "He's alive. He's there somewhere, alive."

Alana relaxed slightly, but not enough.

I pulled her to her feet and pushed her toward Jenna. "Jenna, take her back to the apartment, and keep her there. I'm going to get your brother."

As I walked away, I heard a few of the remaining Rogues stammer in shock. They had no idea what had happened or what they would do. Walter staggered away, shaking his head as if trying to clear it. Drake was no where in sight. Had he been thrown through the wall? Probably.

I stood between them. "Walter," I called. He looked up. "This isn't over. We'll catch you around sometime soon. Trust me."

I was gone. I got Sam, who was not too thrilled at being caught by me, much less at all.

"You can do better than this," I said as I escorted him to the apartment. "And I will show you how."

Jenna-

I got Alana up the stairs. She was shaking.

"Come on," I said, putting the kettle on. "Drake'll be fine, I know it."

She sat and stared into space.

"Or is it trauma? 'Cause I remember when my sister saw her first vampire battle, she spent the whole weekend at my place."

She smiled slightly. "So you really think he'll be okay?"

"'Course he will. Now, have a warm drink, a change of clothes, you'll feel way better."

I began down the stairs to my own room, but I met somebody on the way.

Tegan grimaced at me. "Hey," he said.

"Hi," I answered, then I noticed who was traipsing behind him.

"Sam!" I shouted, and flung my arms around him.

"Wow, too close," Tegan said, separating us. "He's still pretty shaky, and we don't want him biting you."

I bit my lip. "Sam?" I asked.

"Yes?" he grunted.

"Sam, please try. I don't know how, but please try. I just want my brother back. We miss you."

"We're going to try," Tegan promised me.

I grinned at him. "Can I hug you?"

"If you must,"

I flung my arms around his neck. "Thank you. I owe you big time," I said, freeing him.

"I'll leave you to it then," I said. "Got other reunions to attend to I suppose."

I went into my apartment. I looked at Sam, and he shook his head.

"Soon," he said, and I knew he was telling the truth.

I lay down on my sofa, the discarded copy of Hamlet at my feet.

The last two days had been... like nothing on earth. I felt like I couldn't go back to reading Shakespeare and answering questions.

But we've all got to go back some time.

I sat up. We were far from a happy ending. There had been no prince, no kiss, no nothing. Even my brother wasn't quite my brother. We hadn't gotten rid of evil.

But it was a start.

Drake

I woke to see rubble around me, a ceiling half collapsed above me, and a wall splintered beside me. Moonlight poured through a hole in the wall opposite me; I blinked as I looked up and studied the damage around me.

Then I remembered. When the building had blown up, the blast had knocked me through the wall and across the room, where I finally passed out. I stiffly sat up, hissing in pain as my arms and sides screamed in pain. I removed my shirt and stared at my body. I'd been grazed by several bullets, but the damage was not too bad; I had cracked ribs on both sides; I had been cut up pretty severely from shrapnel and the fight with Walter.

I groaned as I got to my feet, and I heard someone approaching. God, please not a Rogue. Not Walter. To my luck, Tegan appeared at the gap, glanced in, and saw me. He rushed to my side and supported me, letting me lean on him as we left the destruction and returned to the apartment.

Once there, I went straight to Alana and checked on her. She was not hurt, thank God. In my relief, despite my protesting wounds, I pulled her close to me, crushing her body with mine, and kissed her as I'd never done before. I showed all of my love in that moment, making sure she got the idea.
