Alana---

Alana's forehead tingled from Drake's kiss. She was still worried though as the door closed. She walked to the kitchen and quickly got to work on the dishes. She was worried, she wouldn't be able to deny that. But she didn't want him hurt. She knew it would be stupid to go after them and make sure they were safe though. She ran a hand through her hair. She needed a shower, and she needed to clean up a little more. She finished the dishes and wiped down the counters then went back to the bathroom and took a shower. She washed her hair out and then cleaned off. When she got out she wrung out her hair and slowly ran a brush through it letting it air dry. She dried herself off letting any worry go away with the water.

Drake

I was moving slower than I liked, still a little weak from my encounter the night before...

Damn it. This was taking too long. I would never find anyone to feed from at this rate, and I didn't want to place a premature claim on Alana, even though she seemed ready to give me her blood...

How would that taste, I wonder?

No, Drake! Don't think like that! She probably doesn't even like you...

But what if she does?

In my internal battle, I almost didn't notice the druggie slipping along the alley, a joint in his hand. I could smell the intoxicating perfume of marijuana from fifty feet away. That wasn't what I needed...maybe I could find someone else?

I caught the scent of blood not far away. Perfect.

Alana---

Alana had cleaned everything, she was almost tempted to mess the house up then clean it again. SHe just wanted Drake and Teagan to get back, safe and sound. She wiped down the counters again. The door bell rang and he jumped running over to the door. She peeked through the hole and frowned. She didn't know who the person standing there was.

"Peter, I know your in there!" The guy yelled. She opened the door a little and looked at the guy.

"H-H-he doesn't live here anymore." She said keeping the door shut most of the way.

Drake

I came up to the bleeding person left laying in the streets. Knife wounds to his chest and abdomen had left him bleeding to death. His eyes were partially glazed as he looked up at me, as if begging me to save him. But there was nothing I could do. He was too far gone.

I knelt beside him and put my hand to his forehead, easing him into a coma and, eventually, death.

"You'll be fine. Just relax," I spoke before I lowered my head to his throat. My bite made him flinch once, then he was still. My transe was setting in. He was dying. All the while, his blood quenched my thirst, revived me, empowered me. I drank from him, slowly and painlessly finishing what someone else he done. In short, I was doing us both good.

His veins finally ran cold, and I passed my tongue over the wound. The bleeding stopped, and I pulled away. I licked the blood from my lips, wiping what had dropped to my chin away. I stood there as his blood soaked into my system; slowly, I felt my strength returning, my senses sharpening, my reflexes quickening. In five minutes, I was myself once more, the assassin in the night.

Now, time to get to work. I headed back to the apartment.

Tegan

I had spent thirty minutes scouting, running from alley to alley, climbing up and down buildings, walking along rooftops.

Our base had been trashed. There was nothing left that wasn't broken or ruined. How the rogues got there, I had no clue.

But it was done. And we had moved. There was no way to tell where we were now.

I loped back to the apartment only to find a guy standing in the doorway, Alana tentatively trying to convince him to leave.

"Hey!" I shouted, stepping up behind him. "We got a problem here?"

"Yeah!" He turned to me, faltered once at the sight of me, then hesitantly continued. "This girl is in my friend's apartment, saying he left! I say it's bullshit!"

I smirked for a second, then snatched him by the collar of his shirt.

"Well, I say listen for once and get the hell out of here. Don't make me say it again."

I dropped him and he stumbled. Yelling and swearing, he began to jog down the hall and away.

"There you go. Now, let me in."

Alana----

Alana looked at Teagan and nodded involentarily. She opened the door stepping back out of his way. It was probably this side of him that her brother kept her from. She looked back in the hallway hoping to catch a glimpse of Drake, but he wasn't back just yet. She closed the door and walked to the kitchen looking for something to do. She heard footsteps in the hallway again and she looked towards the door. It opened and the chain locked stopped it from opening much more.

"Let me in." Drake's voice rang from the door. She ran to it and took the lock off letting him in. She locked it back behind him and leaned against the door relieved. Everyone was back safe again. She looked down at the floor and ran a hand through her still simi-wet hair. She could've mopped. That was the one thing she had forgotten to do. She shrugged and walked back to the kitchen where Drake was. The others were in the small living room. She couldn't remember who was asleep in the bed room but one of the girls was.

"Did you find a meal alright?" She asked softly wiping down an invisible spot on the sink.

Drake

I nodded, watching her carefully.

"It took me a few minutes, but I finally found this guy. Simple as that."

I was afraid to tell her that it had been a victim to a stabbing and was left to die...that I had finished him off.

"How are you?"

Alana---

Alana shrugged, "I'm fine, probably need to get out a little, but other then that I'm perfectly fine." She smiled sitting up on the counter. She looked down at her feet swinging them back and forth. She was still barefoot. She looked at the old fingernail polish on her toe nails and frowned at them. She rarely left them unattended, mostly because she had nothing else to do wtih her spare time. But not only did she not have time, but she didn't have any fingernail polish. At least she told herself that she didn't have time, she knew that if she could clean like she did she had time, but she wasn't about to let herself fall into old habits just because she was bored. "Now what do we do?" She asked looking at him.

She wanted to know what they were going to do now that Drake was better and Jenna was working on recovering. She didn't know if they were going to do anything but she wasn't about to just sit back and do nothing. She wanted to be able to do something, anything but sit around and clean what was already clean all day.

**Umm...think you could play as a male? We need more bad guys, and only men are vampires.**

**Damnit...I'm so fucking tired, I can't think of anything to write...I'll post later.**

Drake

I thought. What could we do? What was there left? We'd lost the base, we'd lost many vampires, nearly lost our own lives...now we were losing time.

But what to do?!

Then it dawned on me. The base. We could go after and reclaim the base. There was no doubt that the Rogues had placed their main hideout in our base, and if they did...

I knew she saw the gleam in my eyes. The hunger to deal pain and death. The excitement of my revelation.

"Drake?" she asked.

"What are you thinking?" Tegan stepped up behind me, alarm in his gaze and voice.

"We go after the base. We blow it up with every Rogue still inside."

Alana----

Alana frowned crossing her arms. "That will take a lot of explosives and someone that can get in." She said. "It'll be to dangerous."

I shook my head.

"You don't understand; there are explosives in the base: boilers, gasoline tanks, et al, et cetera," I tossed a glance at Tegan, who barely nodded. "And there is more than one way to get in. It will be dangerous, yes, but not as bad as you think."

I approached her and took both of her hands in mine, holding them close to my heart.

"I promise; it will be fine."

Alana----

Alana could barely breath with him so close.

What's wrong with me! She looked up at him and squeezed his hand.

"What can I do to help?" She asked. "And I'm not staying behind to do nothing, I want to help."

Tegan

I saw Drake about to refuse her, but I knew better. Ever since this girl had entered the picture, he'd been fighting much better, much longer, much stronger. He needed her.

"She could be a distraction," I suggested, making Drake tense. He didn't like it. Oh well. "Her scent is very enticing; the Rogues will have their interest set on her alone and will not notice us. That should get us a chance to enter the base and set the trap."

He spun on me. "What are you thinking?!"

I glared at him. He wouldn't dare challenge me, even though he was the leader. "Of what's best for you."

He began to wonder why he had felt uneasy at all. It was like a man wondering in broad daylight why a dream had appeared so terrible to him at night.
