The Breed

*um, Ayumi? As far as I'm aware, Jenna isn't a Breedmate... or is this some weird turn of events I've missed?!*

Jenna-

"So," I said sitting up. It hurt, lots. "What's going on with you guys? 'Cause by the way things have been since last night, looks like I'll be sticking around."

Alana nodded. "You're a danger magnet."

"Myeh, probably. With my family history, what else can you expect?" I said, rubbing my head. "Ow, that hurts."

They all stared at me.

"Oy, we don't all have super human fighting powers," I said. "Although I want to get up. Soon. I hate lying around like this."

***my girl isn't yet either. But I think the two guys are just guessing htey are when they aren't, yet.******

Dr. Greye stopped at what looked like the main entrance to the Breed base. He stroked his chin, inspecting it thoughtfully. Slowly he rose his arm and rapped his knuckles sharply on it. It wasn't a particularly hard knock, but it carried. From a glance, it had looked as though the building carried sound well, and Dr. Greye had hypothesized correctly.

He usually did.

"Hello?" he said, after his knock. "I wish to speak with whoever is in charge here."

**Okay. Sorry 'bout that, girls!**

Drake

I watched passively as Naomi, Alanna, and - surprisingly - Tegan took care of Jenna.

Was I able to move yet?

Was I brave enough to try?

The shift made me bite my lip.

That would be a no and then a yes.

Damn.

**Uh, Phindin, no one is in the base right now. We're all hiding out in an apartment, aside from "Monanoke" who's out running around at a park...**

Monanoke-

She stopped singing. After a while Monanoke relaxed. She wasn't hungry anymore. In fact she began to feel bad about what she did to Jenna. Though that didn't change the fact Jenna was delisious.

(News to me. I'll figure something else out, then. >>)

Alana---


Alana hurried to the kitchen and got some water to boil again. She gave the hot water to Naomi. She went back to the kitchen and started cooking food for her and the other two girls. Her side started to itch so she left the food on the stove and went to the bathroom to change her bandage. It had to be healing. Wasn’t that what the doctors said, “When it itches it is getting better.” She shrugged and started cleaning it she let it air dry while she washed her face and brushed her hair out. She would get in the others way if she went out and tried to help with Jenna right now. If they needed her they would call.
The food! Her mind yelled, she quickly through her shirt on and tied it above the wound so it wouldn’t stick. She hurried to the kitchen and stirred the food. She smiled, she would let the wound air a little bit, it wasn’t bleeding so it probably wouldn’t be a bother to Drake and Tegan, she hoped.

Monanoke-

A car passed by, and their eyes met. The freak and the scientist.

Dr. Greye smiled. Now here was an interesting specimen--a girl of about 15, covered in blood. Initially Greye thought her to be a normal human girl, but there was something else there. Something Vampiric, though perhaps not.

Whatever it was, it was worth investigating.

And since no one seemed to be home, he could use the the old Breed base as base of his own. He signaled to his men, who were lurking nearby. About eight of them tackled the base, plowing through the doors and windows, making sure it was secure.

He then strode leisurely toward Monanoke and extended an arm in greeting.

"Hello there," he said pleasantly. "I'm Dr. Greye. Who might you be?"

***I'll be gone for SEVERAL days, so please, don't leave me behind, and don't let this die!***

Monanoke-

She smiled, grabbing his hand." You smell good. Dr. Greye."

He stared. She knew his name." I'm Monanoke, good Doctor.

Her teeth showed through her rose red lips. Monanoke's canines peared through past her upper lip.

"You don't smel vary good. So I won't eat you." Monanoke added.

***Oh come on! I've been gone for five days, and Maki was the only one to post!? Wake up people!***

Drake

I had to get up. The smell of Jenna's blood was getting to be too tempting. I had to get out the room before something happened.

I groaned as I got to my feet, and the world swayed slightly.

"Drake..." Tegan warned.

"I have to get out of here; at least this room."

I turned and strode clumsily into the kitchen.
