Kirany


Fadalia asked for volunteers. Even though Lanis was no longer her mate, she still cared for him, he was family.

"I will!" She shouted, and a moment after her, another voice came.

"Me too!" Shouted an apprentice.

He had a keen nose, he might be useful.


She thought

Fadalia

Fadalia nodded, "Thank you" She leaped off of the rock and began to trot out of camp, "you are all dismissed. Kirany, (apprentice?) come." then the three of them exited the camp.

Kirany & Lanis

Kirany and Berry followed Fadalia out of the camp and through the trees. Berry had his nose just an inch above the ground.

"That way, he went that way!" He said, pointing with his nose.

"Good!" Kirany said as she headed that way, Berry at her side, and Fadalia in the lead.



Lanis licked his lips when he smelled Prey. He knew he couldn't hunt now, they were probably already searching for him, but they would get stuck at the river. He spun around, he was wrong! There was a rabbit deeper in the cave. He followed the scent though the cave and hid behind a rock when he was close enough, then he attacked it and killed it in one bite. He began eating.

Fadalia

The suns last rays licked the sparkling droplets of icy water as they flew away from the colliding rocks. A small brown wolf pranced to the waters edge; his damp nose inches away from the sandy ground. Trailing hard on his paws where two other wolves, Fadalia and Kirany. There glistening pelts blowing in the harsh winds.

"Berry, have you lost him?" Fadalia questioned, coming to stand beside the small wolf she put her muzzle to the ground and inhaled deeply. The sweet scent of Lanis flooded her flaring nostrils, she snapped her head up in disgust. Even though she loved Lanis dearly, he had angered her earlier on today and she still couldn't find it inside of her to forgive him.

"I think he went into the water..." Berry said peering into the thrashing river.

"Lets cross" Fadalia said simply beginning to wad into the icy water.

"I can't swim very well" Berry said shamefully, "You two go, I will stay here and keep an eye out for him."

"Your very brave Berry" Fadalia smiled, "Thank you" she licked his forehead before nodding to Kirany, they both leaped into the water and began to swim.

<<Maybe the eagle could attack Berry. You said it lived close to the river right?>>

Kirany, Lanis & Berry

Kirany touched noses with Berry and thanked him before turning to the water and going in after Fadalia. They paddled skillfully. Kirany stopped and paddled in place when she saw something in the water. She took a breath and stuck her head under before bringing it back with a fish flopping around like crazy. She jerked her head and tossed the fish to the land where Berry was. She gave a small nod for him to eat it before she caught two more and took them to the other side for her and Fadalia. They ate in a few quick gulps before heading into the trees and searching for Lanis's scent.


When they disappeared into the trees, Berry began munching on his fish. He heard a fluttering noise and looked up, the sun's last rays of light were fading into the night...but what made the noise? He put his nose up into the air to catch a scent, but it was too late, something hit his back. He spun around and tried to throw it, but he couldn't. He felt it bite his ear and he yowled, but the yowl was much quieter than other wolfs', he probably wasn't heard.


(Before the eagle went after Berry...while Berry is still eating the fish, or is about to.)
Lanis finished the last of his rabbit. A moment ago he heard splashes in the river, they were near, if it was them. He now smelled Fish, and new it must have been a patrol searching for him. He heard an eagle and it reminded him of his wound, he turned his head around and looked at it...

It will get infected if I don't get herbs with-in a few days

He thought. He was interrupted by a quiet yowl and he jumped up. He ran out of the cave, and jumped onto one of the rocks he used earlier. He saw an apprentice from the pack laying limply on the ground, with an eagle finishing his fish remains. Lanis jumped from the rock and landed next to the apprentice. He bit onto the eagle before it could fly and held on to it's neck tightly. The eagle stopped struggling, and Lanis dropped it's dead body before going to the apprentice. Berry was going to live, but needed herbs on the wounds. Lanis, to his relief, some Marigold leaves were right behind them. He bit some off and chewed them up before putting them on all the wounds. He licked Berry's forehead before crossing the river quietly and doing the same scent trick as before, then walking into his cave, leaving Berry's healing body where is was.

**Mind if Grace finds Berry in the woods while looking for herbs?**

Fadalia

The waves muffled the yowl and Fadalia didn't hear Berry's pain. She paddled through the crystal water, her pink tongue hanging out of her mouth. The sun was just disappearing when they reached the shore and shook the water from there fur, splashing silver raindrops onto the tanned sand, they formed small bubbles on top of ground and shone in the coming twilight. Kirany scented the air smartly before dashing into the bushes, Fadalia followed close behind. They came to a small cave, Fadalia was the first to venture in, "Fadalia" Kirany hissed, "I heard paw steps coming from over there" she gestured to a large pile of grey rocks. Fadalia nodded and they both trotted towards the rocks.

Lanis

He heard pawsteps. He almost jumped up to the scent of Fadalia and Kirany, but instead, he stayed low. When they came closer, he crept behind the rocks, and hoping to maybe get out of the cave before they saw him. He crept farther and farther, hoping not to be noticed.

Fadalia

Fadalia and Kirany came around the corner and scented the air, "Lanis, we know your there come out." Fadalua said softly. She walked up to a larger boulder and sat up on top of it, her tail curled around her paws and her head raised high in the wind.

Lanis

"Lanis, we know your there come out." He heard Fadalia say. Lanis stalked just a few inches closer to the exit of the cave before sprinting out. They were going to have to give chase, if they wanted to talk. He jumped from rock to rock and continued to run.

Fadalia

She snarled in rage and tore after Lanis, her paws scrabbling at the stones she managed to gain closer to him. She snarled through gritted teeth, "Lanis!"

Lanis

He raced pass the trees and looked behind him to see how close they were, they were only a few fox-lengths back. When Lanis looked ahead of him again, he was almost crashing into a badger. He jumped back as the beast swatted at him with the massive arm. He growled at the badger and bit it's tail before trying to run again, but instead, he was hit by the massive paw of the badger. He yelped and was knocked over.

Fadalia

Fadalia came rushing to a stop next to Lanis, she snarled at the badger who scurried into the bushes and disappeared. She collapsed next to Lanis, "Kirany go get some cobwebs!" she panted, before setting to work on Lanis, "Lanis, darling. Are you okay? Have you broken anything? Why did you run?" she said quickly rasping her tongue over the wolfs forehead.

Lanis


"If you don't need me, then why come after me?" He spat, before adding. "You shouldn't have left you apprentice alone." He said as he started chewing on Marigold leaves.

Grace~

Grace stood up from her place next to Luin, another wolf taking her spot. "I'll be right back," she informed the other wolf, before taking off through the forest.

What herb was I looking for again? She thought as she padded through the forest. She heard soft yelps of pain in the distance. She picked up the pace and found Berry laying down by the river, a long gash on his back.

"Berry!" She called, running up and begining to treat his wound.
