Fadalia

"thank you Kirany," She dipped her head, "So tomorrow as soon as the sun rises Kirany, Lanis and I will set out in search of Skart and better hunting grounds." She began to trot to the edge of the rock, "but before I leave, does anyone want to volunteer to take care of Luin, we need at least two strong wolves to keep him warm." She sniffed the air, "I can sense a storm coming, I will prepare some herbs and remedies that may aid Luin." She jumped off of the boulder, "If anyone is going to volunteer please report to my den immediately. I will be with you momentarily" Then she disappeared into Luin's den.

Lanis


He waited a moment before following Fadalia to the den. He walked in and stood next to her.

"I'll help you with the herbs and help keep Luin warm at night." He said quietly. Lanis sniffed at the herbs she already had before adding "Your going to need some berries and marigold leaves. I'll go get some." He offered.

Fadalia

"Thank you Lanis" She picked up the pile of herbs and went to sit next to Luin, She licked his forehead in greeting, "Hello Luin, how are you feeling? I need to ask you some questions about what hurts." Luin dipped his head, "what bothers you the most?"

Lanis & Luin


Luin nodded to her. "My throat, from the coughing, but my stomaches also hurts. Those are the two worst." He said.

"How long have you been sick?" Fadalia asked.

"Three quarters of a moon." He answered.




Lanis sniffed the air, and caught the scent of marigold. He followed the scent and found it. He carefully chewed the stems of the leaves to get them off. After that, he carried the leaves with him as he tracked down the Juniper berries. Lanis pulled plenty off before remembering what else he needed.

Tansy!

He thought. Lanis raced toward the scent and grabbed some Tansy before returning to camp. He dropped the herbs next to Fadalia.

"Tansy for coughs, Juniper Berries for bellyaches, Marigold leaves for wounds, he shouldn't need those, but we didn't have any so I brought them." He said. Lanis had memorized most of the herbs' uses.

<<sorry for the inconvenience, but I am leaving tomorrow in the morning, so I won't be able to get onto the computer until monday at the earliest, sorry. You can just say that Fadalia got lost or something. So sorry >>

"Thank you Lanis" Fadalia nodded and began to apply the herbs to Luins wounds.
He hissed in pain and his shoulders tightened but Fadalia soothed him with a warm lick.

"Fadalia...." He paused. "Its to dangerous. If we lose you, we wont have a leader anymore." Lanis finished, he batted at a berry nervously.

Fadalia narowed her eyes, "What are you getting at Lanis?" She growled glaring into the wolfs eyes.

Lanis

His ears flattened as she spoke.

"Where are you getting at Lanis?" She spat. He stepped on the berry on accident when he heard the words.

"I..." He started.

"Well?" Fadalia growled at him,

"I'm just saying that the pack wouldn't know what to do without a leader, they don't know how to survive without a guide." He finished, his ears we not flat anymore.

Fadalia

"What makes you so sure I will die on this trip." She snarled, taking a step forwards. Her teeth bared and her hackles raised she was about to nip Lanis on the neck but Luin interrupted.
"Fadalia, he has a point. Let him speak"
Fadalia backed away and flicked her tail in allowance for Lanis to speak.

Grace trotted over towards Luin's den, which Fadalia and and Lanis were in. "Fadalia?" She asked, waiting for an answer.

He nodded his thanks to Luin before continuing.

"Fadalia, Luin was the strongest wolf before this sickness fell over him, even stronger than you! But now he is weaker and as helpless as a pup, and he hasn't been sick for that long. If this happened to you, if the same time he has been sick passed over you, you would be dead by then; since you aren't as strong as he was." He said, waiting for her to snap at him again.
