My heart probably sped up 10 times its normal rate. I looked at Sedry and I was totally speechless.

"You ok?" he asked. I just looked at him with shock. "Lindsay?" I realized I was holding my breath. I gasped for air.

"I'm...yeah...I'm fine. Just kinda scared me." I said.

"I don't blame you."

"That's the second time you've helped me out. In this case saving me. What are you, my guardian angel?" He let out a laugh. I tried not to make my face turn bright red.

"Hello? Still here ya know?" Alice said, retrieving her wand. "Sedry, you are so lucky this wasn't damaged." She said. I looked at her in disbelief.

"Oh...and sorry about like almost...yeah...sorry." She said.

I think I'm going to have to pull out. I don't really care for the way Thorn turned into a Severus Snape clone and there's no way for me to revert to the way he'd intended to be.

Not to mention I was hoping we would be using the HP book that was in place after HP7. Which probably meant ... but that would be a spoiler, I suppose. Anyway, I'll keep watching from time to time, but I don't think I'll post anymore.

Hey everyone. I know that you are very well along in this storybook and it is really, really late to join, but I was wondering if I could. Stay with us Kel. Please? Your character's personality can be recovered, afterall he is yours. I'm sure everyone here will strive to write your character as you want him. Also, I see no reason others can't join, even if it is late. I didn't start the storybook but I'm sure DragonFireAsh wouldn't mind.

Alice's face reddened, "I'm really sorry about that," she held her wand between her hands, "it doesn't like to behave sometimes.

Lindsay gawked at the wand, "how long is that thing?"

"Ninteen inches, it tends to draw some unneeded attention."

"Probably, is it good for spells?"

"Yeah," Alice flicked her wand and one of the suits or armor sprung to life, taking a few noisy steps before Alice sent him back. "That was too loud, I'm sure to get busted again. I'm Alice, if you didn't already know."

*this is my last post until probably Sunday. Staring_at_ceiling is going to take over my character until I get back*

Sedry realized his arm was still around Lindsay. He pulled back, turning even redder. Lindsay looked at him awkwardly, but she smiled back.

*well I don't have any time for anything else. Got to go!!!"

As usual Calder was just leaning up against the wall, bored as ever, but as he began to listen closely to his surroundings, he could here some talking in the next room.

As he slowly did a deathmarch toward the door, he began to hear more of the conversation. How the heck could there be a 19" wand? Thats like longer than a beaters bat!

Softly and quietly, he began to open the door, but regreted it moments later as it turned out that someone was standing right in front of it.

When the boy jumped from alarm, the other two acted instinctively, pulling out there wands and pointing them at Calder

"What are a Slytherin and 2 Griffondors doing in the same room together? Planning a dual? I mean you cant possibly be friends! Its like the first thing you learn here!!!"

"Calder?" Alice asked getting a better look at him. "Jesus Calder! You scared the crap out of me!"

She flung her arms around him quickly.

"Hey Alice, how was your summer?"

She pulled away and shrugged, "same old same old, how about you? I haven't seen you in forever!"

Slowly the pink that had just sprung into Calders face started to fade away.
"Oh.....um yeah, same here. So.... What are all of you up to?"

Crisply, Sedry pulled a glance at Calder that made everyone in the room shiver."Oh, sorry about the....and Slytherins...and yeah...sorry." Said Calder his face dimming.

"I'm sorry as well, ive just been getting alot of crap today on being friends with a Slytherin!"

"Not to be rude or anything, but it is a little out of the ordinary, dont you think so?" replied Calder just loud enough for everyone to here. Seeing as Sedry and Lindsey were 1 year older, they strongly intimmidated him, he just didnt see how Alice could do it!

The pause was unbearable, Alice couldn't take it anymore! "Okay somebody say something before we all go mental!" She said throwing her hands in the air. "Well..." she paused, "most of us are already mental," se said staring at the ceiling idly.

The tension flooded from the room and everyone laughed. When lunch ended and classes resumed they walked off.

Alice and Calder walked in the same direction.

"So..." Calder said, "how do you stand up to Sedry?"

"How do I what?"

"How are you not terrified by him?"

Alice shrugged, tucking a piece of blond hair behind her ear, "I never really thought about it." She looked up at him, he was a good deal taller than her short 5' 1", "I just do I guess."

She turned and started to walk again, Calder went to follow her.

"Where are you going?"

"To class."

"Wrong way."

The rest of the day went by pretty fast after that, and I didn't really pay attention in class because my head was swimming with what had happened. Dinner came faster than ever. I sat down at the table and picked at the food. I was thinking way too hard to eat. I waited untill everyone was pretty much leaving before I went as well. I walked out with a couple fellow slytherins. We passed Alice, Sedry, and Clader and I waved to them. One of the slytherins pushed me into the other.

"What's that about?" He growled.

"What?" I said, looking at my feet.

"You. Making eyes at a Gryffindor?"

"What's it to you?" I snapped. He looked shocked. I knew that was the wrong answer.

"So it's true. About you and that Sedry punk. How he helped you out." I slapped my hand to my head.

"Not this again." I started to walk off but he grabbed my arm. No one was around so it didn't really matter.

"No way, babe. I won't let you be with some Gryf." He pulled me into his arms. I strugled and he let me go.

"Do not call me babe." I hissed. He smiled and put his arm around my waist as I tried to break free but it was hopeless. He was strong. He walked me back into the common room and gave me a kiss goodnight and I stormed upstairs.

A lot of rumours were going around about a slytherin being friends with a gryfindor and many people even claimed it was Sedry and Lindsay.

"Hi..." I hesitated as I approached Lindsay's bed. She sat up and glared at me.

"What do you want?" She asked, her voice thick with irritation.

"Uh..." Good question. Why am I talking to the girl? "I wanted to see if you was alright. I heard the others were giving you a hard time." That got her attention.

"You're..." Lindsay hesitated and frowned as if realising for the first time that she idn't know my name. That was how little I talked to people so why was I talking to her? Because she's younger. Because she shouldn't have to be alone like I was.

"I'm Kate," I told her.
