"Lethero, you seem to have forgotten the fact that I can handle myself, I have for years and will for years. I am coming if you like it or not, but take solice in the fact that you won't have to drag my corpse back."
Telayna felt like she want to sit down and cry for some reason.
"But you wouldn't be able to stop me from coming even if I had no idea where to go. I'm just that stubborn." She smiled. "And guys, stop worrying. We'll be back before you can miss us, well it might be hard, since I know you all love me so much but we'll be fine." She let out a small laugh.
"Come on Telayna, let us go. We don't have the time"
"After it happened I thought that I'd just try to live as normally as possible and bury it, but things like that don't stay buried. I didn't think it would, but it taints your whole life."
"My desires were bestial, obviously." -Jeffery Dahmer.
Georgia walked along Telayna avoiding Lethero's gaze. He was throughly pissed off with her probably, but she held true to what she said. He wouldn't have to drag her corpse away.
Kailani stood at the edge of the pack watching this unfold. The priests had caught more creatures and they were going to drain their lifeforce. She had to help them. She teleported to a tree slightly ahead of the group and sat waiting until they came close. As the walked under the tree before hers she dropped to the ground infront of Lethero. She looked at the group, each of the stunned.
Syden was low in the bushes, so none of the humans saw him. He could see the priests and hunters milling around, talking quickly about the Alans and the pack and a few other creatures that would be hunted down soon. There was no doubt about who was in charge. The priests ordered around the hunters as if they were servants. His eyes wandered over to the cages, and couldn't stop a low growl.
In the cages were unconcious creatures. Firedrakes and dragons with their wings slashed, werewolves bound in silver, even a Roc with clipped wings and a chained beak.
It took all his willpower not to attack himself. He knew he wouldn't win. He'd be slaughered almost instantly. But he would find out everything he could about what they wanted.
he listened closely to the orders of a priest to a hunter, and grinned. They were going to leave soon, get the cages back to town, while the hunters went out for the Alans and the pack. Syden decided he would do everything he could do keep them from leaving.
Stealthily, Syden crawled out of the bush towards on cage, then gnawed carefully at the spoke of the wheel until it cam loose. He did the same with the other wheels and rolled them into the forest. He considered gnawing away the lock, too, but reluctantly decided against it. The creatures inside the cages were unconcious, anyway, and even if they weren't, at the moment they didn't have enough wit to leave the cage.
He did the same until he was wure none of the cages were going to leave, and with a satisfied grin he slipped back into the forest. The hunters would have to postpone and fix the cages. the priests would never get thier hands dirty.

Syden seemed unusually smug. "I found a way to slow down a few pests," he said casually.

"Those priests give me the creeps," he said, almost bitterly. "I would've let the poor things go, but they had no wit left." He looked behind him, then started back towards the place where he had left the pack. "Anything interesting happen while i was gone?"

"Lethero said i was to lead the pack to the valley, while him and two others went after the priests. So i got Petra to led them so that i could come." She smiled. "I have a feeling Lethero will have my throat if he finds out i'm out here." That brought a small smile to Syden's face.
"he'll probably have mine too when he finds out what i've done."
"What did you do?" Nicarga asked.
"I already told you; i slowed the creeps down."

"What do you mean? what happened?" Syden looked nervously around. "Why do we have to decide what to do?"

Lethero walked down the path, alert to everything. Then he heard a snap of twif small, but hearable for him. Pulling out his sword he ran towards the source of the sound, the others following him.
Grabbing a throat, squinting in the dark he saw a familiar face. "Nicarga, what be you doing here! I thought I told you to be staying with my pack."
