"They were sent here to kill us, you too. THey don't care if your a loner or part of a pack. They just want us dead." SHe sighed, "If you really want to go, then go, but if you want to come back you can. If Lethero doesn't except that i'll try to talk to him. Maybe he trusts me a little more. But i know he has to have me here, Petra would probably come with me if he kicked me out. So you'll be welcome with me any time." She said stepping out of his path.

Syden looked back. "I was raised by a human," he said quietly. "He was killed for taking me in, though..." He sighed and shook his head, and disappeared into the forest.

"Herska, make sure they be getting enough bandages to cover those wounds," Lethero ordered, "and Derska has a broken paw, patch that up too."

"Lethero, come here," Nicarga called.

"What be it?"

"Syden, tell him he can stay, he thinks he's not welcome."

"Of course he can stay, I don't mind if he be tagging along. I think even Teleska be trusting you now Nicarga."

'I would hope so' Nicarga thought. "Thanks, how is your cut?" SHe asked looking towards where Syden had gone.

"Fine, I'll talk to him if that is what your suggesting." He sighed,

"I never said anything." She replied.

"I be seeing it in your face." He looked at the pack. "Though i be needed at the camp."

"Syden!" Lethero called running into the forest whike running into the part Nicarga said he went. "Look, you can stay or go, it's up to you, but some in my pack would like you to stay."

Telayna saw Carson run off. She knew what she did looked bad, she figured she's sneak away. She started to walk away, but dropped her sword near a tree and tried to sneak over to pick it up.

"I'm sorry, it's just I've never been around my own kind for years," He said with a smile. "Your pack seems nice, if you get past the pleasantries of being mistrusted."

Nicarga walked over to where Telayna was sneaking towards her sword.

"WHere do you think you are going?" SHe asked. No answer, "I want a reason for what you did."

"No, that is for me to know." Telayna replied.

"Tell me," Nicarga said laying next to teh sword where Telayna couldn't get it.

"You are not mistrusted," Lethero said, "we are only catious. It is my job to keep my pack alive, no matter what I have to do. I trust you, but I'm catious of what I let you do."

"You just wouldn't understand. It's not like 'Oh I just felt like tackling the pack leader. Looked like fun.' I just can't tell you. So get out of my way! I need my sword and I'll go."

"No. If you can't tell us, then we'll kill you." Lethero chimed in, Coming back with Syden.

"Fine. If you all have to be that way..." Her wings were out and she flew up a few feet, ready to leave when Syden grabbed her leg and pulled her down hard. He was snarling and was on her.

"Tell us or die." Telayna had tears in her eyes. She threw Syden off and stared into space.

"I...just...I couldn't let you kill him. I don't know why. My body moved before my mind."
She turned to Lethero.

Syden sat in front of Telayna stubbornly. "Why would your body move before you could think?"

"You.." Nicarga suddenly relized what it was. She stood up and handed her her sword.

"What are you doing?" Lethero demanded.

"She wasn't betraying us," Nicarga said,

"Then what do you call what she did?" He demanded.

"Something bigger then any of us." Nicarga replied, "She had a good reason, leave it at that." Nicarga said praying she was right.

Syden shrugged and stood back. He trusted Nicarga.

Nicarga looked over at Lethero who didn't look to happy as Telayna walked away.

"What do you know about this?" He demanded.

"It is a matter you wont understand." Nicarga said licking her paw free of some dried blood.

"Well we'll stop her for the night," Lethero commanded. "I know it might not be safe, but we'll start moving in the morning," and he sat down and started licking the blood off his fur.
