I think a radically different time period might be fun -- for example, KOTOR. Obviously not the same as that, but a similar type of pre-movies time. Just a suggestion.

I'm up for this storybook, in any case.

Knights of the Old Republic, which is a video game. I've never played it before. :| I would much rather have it be either during the Old Republic or after Return of the Jedi.http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/KotOR

Using a time period similar to KOTOR allows for more freedom and creativity. Sticking to something like the Old Republic requires a great deal of knowledge in Star Wars. This similarly applies to anything after the Return of the Jedi.

I'll join in as the villain if that's okay...but before I do, you need a little history lesson on KOTOR and the Old Republic. If you decide to make this storybook about the Old Republic, it would draw a ton of creativity becuase of the two Jedi Civil Wars that had happened within 10 years......Now for the lesson.....4000 years before the Empire, the Old Republic was at war with the Mandalorians. You should all know who they are (Jango Fett, etc.) Anyway, The Jedi were bent on staying at peace and did not want to get involved. Two Jedi known as Revan and Malak recruited hundreds of Jedi to go to war. The Jedi won the war but Malak and Revan came back changed. They turned to the Dark side and "stole" Republice troops away and waged a war against the Jedi and the Republic.......

I'll finish later.

Not necessarily. I don't know a ton about the Old Republic outside of what's said in the prequel movies, and I've been playing in a prequel era game for a while now. And, this is where "alternate universe" comes in to play. You don't HAVE to know about the stuff that happens after Return of the Jedi in order to play in that era, because you don't have to stick to canon. Like I've said, there are people in my Star Wars game, which takes place after Return of the Jedi, who don't know what happens in the books after that movie and they're doing fine. I'm also more than willing to fill people in, because I read a bunch of the books growing up and remember a lot of details.

The lightsaber colors are blue, green, purple, red, yellow...and I believe that's it. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lightsaber_colors and http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lightsab ... ade_colors will probably help you out as far as lightsaber colors go.

Edit: hmm. According to that second link, I guess gold is a lightsaber color. o.O

Edit 2: should add that while it is a lightsaber color, it's probably not one of the "standard" colors. Same with white, for example.

As I was saying, near the end of the war Malak had sensed his oppurtunity to strip the power from Revan. When the Sith fleet was engaged in a battle in space, Malak ordered his ship to fire on Revans. It did and nearly killed Revan in the process. The Jedi Knights, led by Bastilla Shan, captured the near lifeless Revan, and had his memory erased by the Jedi Council when they had escaped the ship. Revan was reinlisted as a Republic soldier and Malak continued his conquest of the Republic. Blah, Blah, Blah nothing really important happens until the Jedi decided to train Revan again. But this time Revan was even stronger. (And Revan was the strongest Sith Lord ever in the history of Star Wars) When Revan's training is complete, the Council decides to investigate how Malak seems to have limitless resources. So Revan and all of his friends go on a little adventure to find out why. All the while Revan not realizing that he was a Sith Lord. They were seeking things called Star Maps. These belonged to belived to be extinct race known as the Rakata. Revan found them all, was captured by Malak, and had found how Malak was creating his armies by a space factory known as the Star Forge.

>.> I have a feeling the hardest thing for us to decide is going to be the era.

In case you aren't really sure what alternate universe would mean, here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternativ ... an_fiction) is an article about it.

I'm thinking that the Old Republic era would probably be the first easiest place to play in, mainly because there aren't many people who've played the KOTOR games (such as myself) and most Star Wars fans tend to know about the prequel/movie/after movie eras more than they do about the KOTOR era.

If we went with the idea of a Sith council, since my guess is that the one in canon according the article linked on the first page existed during the KOTOR (I didn't really read the article), it would be AU. Having romantic love be semi-allowed for the Jedi would be AU. We're going to end up doing some AU stuff probably no matter what, especially if we have more than two people wanting to play Sith, because of the whole "only two Sith at a time" rule.

So can I join? I know I sounded like none of you knew what you were talking about so I apologize for that. It's just that I know a whole lot about the Pre-Empire age and if someone messes that up then I really get bent out of shape. And yes there was a Sith Council. It was a planet called Koriban. So if you decide to use this era, there is going to be more than one person being a Sith.
