Star Wars storybook (?) DT

I'm still in. I'll try avoid slips on the history and other details but they'll probably still get in. Where is a good source for the time period info I could go to?

Name: Geoff Mar
Race: Human

Appearance: Light skin from prolonged space travel; short, dark brown hair; dark blue eyes; sturdy build.
Personality: Quiet and easy going, tends to avoid conflict or try to brush it off.
Skills: Above average pilot in several classes of small freighters. Sleightly above average marksman with a hand blaster and ship weapons.
Weapons: Hand blaster, laserblade utility knife 1 to 6 inch blade.
Biography: born into a wealthy shipping family, Geoff became a freighter pilot at the young age of nineteen. He rose quickly through the ranks of his family's business, mostly on his father's influence, although he was good at his work. Then came a snag. His father was implicated in some deals of dubious quality. He was smuggling on the side. The resulting legal problems sapped the family fortune until creditors came to collect their money. Geoff's father commited suicide and Geoff fled on a small freighter before the creditors could seize it for payment. He is currently freighting cargo across the galaxy as an independant owner/operator. Not all of his cargo is legal by the standards of the Republic.

I'd also like to point this out to midnight wolf - after the destruction of Trayus Academy, the Sith turned on themselves. Read this:

Occurring just after the First Jedi Purge, the Second Sith Civil War was an event that served as the final destruction of Revan's Sith Empire. Following the First Sith Civil War, the Sith remnants were scattered and disunified. By 3,952 BBY, however, a triumvirate of Sith Lords – Darths Traya, Nihilus, and Sion had risen to assume power over the Empire's remains. Nihilus and Sion turned against Traya, exiling her. She then sought to use the Jedi Exile in her plans to destroy the Sith, the Jedi, and the Force.

Following the deaths of the Triumvirate on Malachor V, the destruction of the Trayus Academy, and the foiling of their plot to seize Onderon and destroy Telos IV—and by extension, the Galactic Republic—the leaderless remains once more turned on each other, eventually destroying what little remained of Revan's Sith Empire.

However, records indicate that at least one Sith Lord bearing the title of "Darth" survived, if for nothing else but to train a Sith apprentice, ensuring the continuation of the "Darth" line until Darth Ruin's time.

By our storybook time, after this event, nothing has been of the sith. There are no academies, no "safe havens" these were all eradicated when the Sith fell upon each other. Only a scarce few remain, hiding. This is where they being to "re-emerge". Yeah?

I would say we were about 100 years after the destruction of Trayus Academy. The Jedi Order is still very vulnerable -- the reformed Council has few Jedi Masters standing on it because very few are experienced enough. There are more force-potentials coming in, but mainly there is only a group of Jedi Knights keeping the peace.

With that in mind, a small number of Sith (yours included, possibly) see an opportunity in the vulnerability of a planet which has two divisive groups -- saw two races of people. These are only held together by the strong leadership of their Senator, who was not been biased towards one race likes his predeccessors. However, the Sith murder said Senator, and the planet government begins to fall apart. Squabbles erupt between the two races who have traditionally fought, and the planet threatens to be taken by civil war. It is here where the Sith want to lure the Jedi in and reveal themselves, taking over the planet with promises of power and killing Jedi in the process.

At least, that was my thoughts. Comments?

Name: Niros "Grey" Andaar
Race: Human
Age: 25
Appearance: Grey hair, blue eyes, always bares a look of calmness no matter the situation, always wears a long hooded Jedi robe to hide most of his face.
Personality: After talking to him the first time you will begin to think he doesn't have one.
Alignment: Neutral Force user.
Skills: Very persuasive.
Powers: Force push, Force lightning, heal, Force persuasion.
Weapons: Dual lightsabers, red and green to symbolize his use of both sides of the Force.
Biography: Niros' father was a pilot, his mother was a Force sensitive that never realized her powers. One of Niros' ansestors had been from Katarr (That planet where everyone can see the Force.) before it was destroyed by a Sith lord 100 years ago. Because of this he has the ability to see the Force as well, but not as strongly as his ansestors. It appears as just a small aura surrounding a person's body. This doesn't work on just people, but also places that have been touched by either side of the Force. Niros is a neutral user of the Force, nothing is known about his history. While he cannot use his Force powers as efficiently as others of either side of the Force can, he has the inept ability to use these powers without being influenced by either side of the Force. He constantly travels through the galaxy, looking for something he doesn't know, something in the Force is calling him.

If we start the storybook I won't be able to join in until Monday.

Apperance: Red skin, always carries a blaster or two, tough and rough
Personality: Very tough, can get through almost anything, straightforward and to the point.
Skills: explosives expert, very handy with a blaster, pretty good pilot
Weapons: DL-18 blaster (favorite), hidden hold-out blaster, various mines and grenades
Biography: Born on the planet Ryloth, Gence was orphaned at the age of two, when her parents were killed by a evil spice trader. Since then, Gence trained herself to be a tough. Her parnets death taught her to never trust anyone. At the age of twelve, Gence meet her mentor, Freen Rejub (a human male). Freen taught her all about explosives, and by the age of sixteen, Gence was an expert. Freen later left Gence to go out on her own. She took up a job as a demolitions expert in a smuggling group called Dawn. In Dawn, Gence traveled to see much of the galaxy. She currently still works there.

Personality: Kind of out of it, yet somehow seeming to be in control and alert. You pictureing what I mean? If not, I guess that's too bad.
Favored Clothing: Plain pants and long-sleeved shirt. Wears his armor everywhere.
Favorite Weapon: Wrist blaster.
Secondary weapons: Standard imperial blaster rifle, Various grenades and such. Can get the gist of most weapons he comes into cantact with.
Armor: Standard issue clone commando armor colored matte black with red markings.
Special Skills: Using wrist-grapple,
Occupation: Mercenary. Bounty Hunter.
Home Planet: Nar-Shaddaa
Description: Has a ship called the Astro King. He grew up in Nar-Shadaa and survived, when he was 20 or so he became a bounty hunter. Now he has acquired several sub-bounty hunters which is different for most BH but they are friends from Nar-Shadda. This allows him to get more information on his bountys, hunt them down faster, and gain a bigger reputation for being fast. Also he is expensive but very effective as he can bring in his sub-BHs for a big op.

Hurray for the Bounty hunters and smugllers and people on the other side of the law!

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away...

While years have passed since the great battles between the Jedi and the Sith, there is still great struggles going on throughout the galaxy. Worlds make war against each other for resources and prestige despite the rules and regulations of the Galactic Republic. The protectors of the galaxy, the Jedi, are still few, scattered, and inexperienced from their war with the Sith. Still they fight bravely to uphold law and preserve peace. They comfort themselves with the thought that at least the Sith are gone.
Or are they?...
