Rhea has always felt a strange connection to the moon, but she never knew why--until the night her grandmother, on her deathbed, passes her a mysterious pendant with an ancient name inscribed on it: Selene, the long-lost goddess of the moon. Unbeknownst to Rhea, this name holds divine power, one the gods of Olympus have been hunting for centuries.
Suddenly, Rhea's ordinary life is shattered. Her abilities awaken, and the Olympians, led by Hermes and Apollo, are hot on her trail. Desperate to protect herself and the moon's magic, Rhea flees to the ancient ruins of Delphi, where she learns that the power she's inherited could restore Selene's shattered soul--or consume her entirely.
When captured by the gods, Rhea must decide: surrender the name to Zeus or face being jailed. But, when she speaks Selene's true name, Rhea becomes a force unlike any other--half mortal, half goddess, with the moon's power coursing through her veins. When she meets a fellow prisoner of the gods that offers to help her, Rhea must learn what it means to steal, and rule, the moon.
Goals
- The good thing about this novel is that I don't have to focus too much on worldbuilding (this takes place in the mortal world + Olympus).
- If I can finish the main outline... I might start writing? I kinda wanna make a playlist, mood board, the outlines etc before I even start. So that's definitely a goal!
- Spend at least 45 mins to an hour everyday of April on this project! I'm not going to do a wordcount goal because I honestly don't even know if I'm gonna start writing yet. So, a time-based goal sounds great.
