that would be great. We'll see how things play out closer. Vader losing his marbles over that would give Sirejj a chance to get away and warn Tarkin and Thalassa.

Sirejj would also be losing it over Vader though and it would set him up to be a little unstable whenever he returns to Dathomir.

Also, at some point, perhaps after that incident, I think I want Sirejj to give Lady Tarkin the cat's tooth. He certainly wouldn't give it to Tarkin himself. If she'd appreciate it that is.

Sirejj felt like Vader's question implied that if he went along, he would end up target practice. Vader sounded a little too eager at that suggestion. He looked at Tarkin for his orders.

I think she'd appreciate it very much.

"You're dismissed for the time being, Sirejj," Tarkin said to him. "Come find me in my office two hours from now."

"Actually, would you mind coming to me instead?" Thalassa asked. "I had a couple questions about logistics, since Wilhuff and I are technically hiring you jointly. Financial matters, mostly."

"Of course My Lady." Sirejj turned to follow her, glad to be away from Vader's prying mind.

Thalassa walked a short way in silence, then glanced at Sirejj once they were out of earshot. "I couldn't care less about the financial matters," she said with a conspiratorial smile. "I had questions about other matters with which you were concerned, if you wouldn't mind. We can discuss it over breakfast. Well, we can if Gideon isn't there."

"I assumed as much My Lady." Sirejj said with a slight smile. He was sure they could convince Gideon to leave if he was lurking about. "It's due time we discussed those things."

"I'm glad you agree." She looked over her shoulder. "I'm always curious what goes on in their minds when they pull schoolboy nonsense like that. I apologize for their behavior; it's unprofessional and juvenile." Her nose wrinkled. "I wasn't aware Lord Vader was similarly childish, though I suppose I might have guessed."

"Well, you must forgive me if I found a little amusing." Sirejj, though perhaps more of fun than cruelty, enjoyed a little needling when it was due. "The boy seems to be made of sterner stuff than they assumed. Nothing wrong with a little testing now and again."

"Not at all. I do it myself--in my line of work one has to be hard on people. It's the lack of understanding from Wilhuff that vexes me, I think. He was a rookie once, too. He made mistakes, believe it or not. But of course the second he was granted any kind of rank he believed he was above anyone and everyone." She frowned. "I shouldn't be ranting about this to a bodyguard. Especially someone I've not known for very long. But you can see all this in my head anyway, can't you?"

"I don't have to. I work for him." Sirejj allowed himself a grin, showing his teeth. For the short time he had known Governor Tarkin, he had quickly realized the joy it gave him to step on other people. Which made it all the more fun to dislodge his foot. "I mean that with all due respect of course."

"Of course." The corners of her mouth turned up in mild amusement. "Let's keep that sort of thing to a minimum all the same, shall we?" They entered the dining room; Gideon appeared to either have already eaten or was not yet awake, because he was nowhere to be seen. Thalassa pressed a little button by her table setting. "They have my preferred meal on standby, usually," she told Sirejj. "Is there anything I can get you?"

Sirejj: pulls out the chair with the force nicely for Thalassa
Also Sirejj: yeets Tarkin's chair right as he goes to sit down

"I will usually have whatever meat they're serving for the day... I'm not particular about it." He was not this morning for sure. He stepped over to the table and with a wave of his hand pulled out her chair for her to sit down.

Tarkin would throw another chair at him in return and they'd be trying to kill each other by the time Thalassa pulled them apart

Thalassa had been about to respond when he pulled out the chair, and her eyes widened. "Goodness," she said with a grin. "Such decorum. There's no need for that with me; I'm perfectly capable of pulling out my own chair. And without magic, no less." Even so, she seemed pleased as she sat down. "There's a little touchpad beside your place--if you slide open that slot there, you can access that and order whatever you like."

I think the only time they truly get along is when they're fighting something else together. I think they would actually be a super effective fighting team but constantly pick at each other otherwise. Sirejj respects Tarkin's intellect and cunning but will not be trodden upon. He's a Zabrak. Challenging the pecking order is what they do.

Sirejj noticed it and quickly typed in a few simple things. He had placed his staff against the wall closest to his seat when walking in. He could summon it to him in a moment if need be. It simply didn't fit well in the chair.

"Now about our other business." He said, lowering his voice a little and carefully listening to ensure nobody was nearby.

"Yes." She settled into her chair, clasping her hands in front of her. "You want to find the Atoans and gain their trust, is that correct? Remind me what use that will be to you."

"Well, that would be ideal. I wish to learn from them their magicks. There is at least one holy one left from what I could tell. If they aren't forthcoming with their spells then there are other ways of convincing them." He rested his forearms on the table.
