they are it's amazing. Poor Killian isn't mentally scarred enough yet for these people.

Killian loathed the idea of sitting. He was certainly going to struggle being still if he did. He stepped to a chair and put his hands on the back of it and then paused. No, this wouldn't do. "I hope it won't be rude if I stand." He looked back at Tarkin. He thought about making an excuse but he felt the more words he said, the more fuel was added to the fire. He looked at the Lady Tarkin, his face betraying no emotion. "I wouldn't want to trouble, perhaps if I were staying longer. My inquiries will be quick... I've no doubt we all have business to attend to." He regretted those words a little, he sounded like a politician about to give some kind of boring speech. His father's mannerisms really did show through him sometimes.

Thalassa smiled a little to herself--not a malicious smile at all, simply a smile. "As you wish." Tarkin glanced at her; she was trying to ease the boy's discomfort, it was clear. It seemed to him he was taking things in stride, though. It was hard to ruffle this one.

"Ask your questions, then," Tarkin said, clasping his hands behind his back. Vader's breathing filled the silence.

"Certainly." He pulled out his datapad. He then looked at Darth Vader. "Lord Vader, you interrogated the prisoner, correct?" He had a short list of questions that the report hadn't answered very well. He knew he may not get answers to all of them but he would at least cover his bases.

"I did."

Tarkin remained expressionless, but inside he was groaning. He enjoyed a good bureaucratic questionnaire as much as the next man, but only when he was the one administering it. This was going to take forever.

"Were you able to identify a specific time that she may have last contacted her employer and where she may have been at that time?" This would help him in tracking the comm channels. Searching every message that entered an exited Coruscant would be more trouble than it was worth, but if they could narrow it down to a specific time they could begin their scans by sector and eventually move through the lower levels.

"She contacted her employer the day before she landed on Eriadu," Vader replied. "She informed him of her progress and asked if he had last minute instructions. He had none. She was on her ship in the Seswenna sector at the time."

"Excellent." He curbed a little excitement in his tone. That was better information than he'd been hoping for. It was specific enough to begin searching the channels. "Did we ever get an image of what this man looked like?" He assumed not, but he was not quite sure how this whole Force interrogation thing worked. He'd been told it was something like reading minds.

"We did not. She communicated with him only via comms; I was able to hear his voice."

"She informed me of this as well," Tarkin added. "She was surprisingly forth coming with information once she was cornered, though I thought it best to have Vader speak with her anyway."

imagine your average slimo politician but darker and stronger like he's a man who's also not afraid to do dirty work with guys own hands. He's a broader fellow and has a voice to match but it would probably be somewhat distorted through recording.

Also dude I can't wait if we get Maul to show up way later his character is genuinely one of the most interesting in the whole Star wars universe. Rewatching clone wars and rebels and he went from being some throw away character in The first movie to somebody epic.

They really portrayed those characters super cool. The way they made the Zabraks growls sound less human and more like wild animals and yet made maul an intellectual cunning fighter is just incredible. The perfect combination of skill and intelligence and primal instinct and power.

Killian wasn't surprised. She'd definitely bitten off more than she could chew. "And we found no accomplices." He looked at Tarkin. "Did she attack you here at your home?" He could still see what was left of bruising on the governor's face.

If there is a single thing that Filoni can do right, it's portraying Maul well. Credit to the voice actor as well.
Man, I'm so pumped for this actually.

"I was hunting alone beyond the walls," Tarkin replied. "I felt someone watching me not too long after I'd started. She fired at me, so I ducked behind a tree and returned fire with my slugthrower. There was a scuffle, and then my bodyguard intervened." He gestured to Sirejj. "We interrogated her in my meat freezer shortly thereafter."

Maul is a fantastic character. His story is definitely a tragedy but honestly his ending fitted well. He definitely chilled out by the time rebels rolled around but in the clone wars he just murdered people left and right. He's also arguably just as mentally tormented as Vader and still mortally terrified of Sidious, he is just more open with it and uses his borderline insanity to his advantage. He's got a concerning level of self awareness for how deranged he is.

Sirejj would learn a lot from Maul but he would have to be careful. Maul is just as educated in trickery as he is even if he doesn't really practice magick. He is older and wiser and would want to corner him and perhaps pry some information from his mind concerning the happenings of the Galaxy. Sirejj would have to watch his back. I would not hold it above Maul to try and win Sirejj over to his side by manipulating him. Maul's greatest ally is Fear. Maul is also probably jealous of the freedom Sirejj has managed to have by escaping the Sith. Maul had no such chance. He was bound by the chains of the Sith since he was barely old enough to speak and has never been able to break them. Misery loves company.

Bodyguard. Something felt off about the situation. The Zabrak struck him as too independent for most hired bodyguards. Especially one serving under Governor Tarkin's iron fist.

"And his name is?" He glanced at the Zabrak but the question was directed at Tarkin. An old tactic, but a reliable one. There was little need for him to address the hired gun face to face when his employer was standing right there. Bodyguards, for the most part, should be seen and not heard. But he felt it would twist the feelings of the Zabrak enough to judge his character further.

Sirejj's eyes narrowed slightly, recognizing the double-edged question. He sensed the thoughts of this young cadet and knew there was some suspicion surrounding his involvement. He could also see the cogs spinning as the lieutenant made split-second calculations in his head and maneuvered his questions based on the reactions of those before him. He would need to learn to be subtler about it, at least in front of force-sensitives.

Tarkin glanced at Sirejj, as if surprised to hear him acknowledged by anyone else. "He is called Sirejj," he replied. "A recent precaution; there was an attempt on the life of my brother as well."

"I was not made aware of this." Vader turned to look at Tarkin. "When was this?"

"Days ago." Tarkin returned his gaze evenly. "I have no doubt they were feeling out our security; Gideon isn't as closely guarded as I am. Killing him would have taken little effort; they could have done so if they truly wished." He smiled coldly. "A mere trifle."

Killian quickly recorded everything he heard. All of it was intriguing. He wondered if the incidents were related. He would pull up the report on that attack later.

"And do we suspect these two attacks were related?" Killian had heard nothing about this. He would not get derailed from his current project but any information could be relevant.

"They seem too close together not to be," Tarkin said. "Two attempts within days of each other? And both dealing with matters of the Outer Rim, no less. Gideon was attacked on Coruscant; someone confronted him about politics."

Now he vaguely remember there had been a disturbance. He had not had anything to do with that investigation but he would have to see if the suspect knew anything regarding the case on Eriadu.

"Hm. Last but not least I would like to return anything found on her ship to the ISB for further breakdown. I assume you have those already gathered?"
