Down to the Depths

Sylvie pulled away after a while with a beaming smile. "Is my brave warrior healed now or do ey need another kiss?"

Onni hummed in consideration. "Maybe one more for the road."

"Oh you silly monkey," said Sylvie, giving em one more thorough kiss for good measure.

Onni laughed into the kiss and wrapped eir arms around Sylvie's shoulders.

Sylvie gave Onni a tight squeeze as she gently rocked them back and forth.

Onni rested eir head on her chest. "As much as I love this and you, I'm afraid we need to go find Probably-not-a-squirrel-Brian."

Sylvie directed an honest to goodness pout in Onni's direction even as she nodded. "Okay, let's go see if Not-a-squirrel-Brian is home"

Onni sighed. "I'll kiss you again afterward, okay?"

Ey laced their fingers together again and started towards Not-a-squirrel-Brian's treehouse.

"I'll hold you to that," said Sylvie.

Onni grinned. "I'm counting on it."

Sylvie grinned in return.

Onni whistled a little tune and swung eir hands. "It's beautiful down here. I'm sure Mia's having a grand time."

"Oh absolutely. She's probably having so much fun learning about all these old architecture styles from the people who built them."

Onni snorted. "She was always a nerd like that. I love her for it. How many dead architectures do you think she's talked to so far?"

"Oh she was definitely our nerd," said Sylvie, a different kind of smile on her face now. This was more nostalgic. "Well its been a couple of months, I wouldn't be surprised if the number was in three digits."
