Granted, but with your newly and suddenly acquired wealth, money ceases to symbolize any real value for you and you spend it all in less than a weak, fall into poverty, and are quickly forgotten by the fickle people.

I wish Kay would get back from Germany.

Granted, but she comes back with another significant other by her side and as you go to see her you catch a glimpse of them kissing when she doesn't know you are there and she hasn't told you about him yet. (wow, that's depressing..)

Granted, but since i'm probably in another state from you I probably won't get it to you in time and you won't be able to turn it in till after the deadline, and so then you won't get ANY credit for it. (You did get A's on both, but since it was after the deadline, it didn't count. mwahahahah!)

I wish I knew EXACTLY which song I wanted to do for the show.

Granted, but you can't because it's full of naughty words or something.

I wish people would stop speaking and acting inappropriately, on TV, in books, and everywhere.

Granted, but then your school (assuming it for a play or something) finds a bit in your song that they think is obscenity and will not let you use it--forcing you to pick another song and in turn throwing off your entire show.


I wish I could understand the obsession over the movie 300 without actually having to watch it.
