The healing Mage part might help with the growing pains reveal later on. If he's already been treated for a leg injury, Harry could get worried that the healing magic didn't work the way it was supposed to because Mage is from somewhere else. >>

I'm not sure why that was so funny to me, but that line made me smile.
Also, I think that was the plan! I'd honestly be happy having the shadow monster and Harry as the last monster, but I'm cool with throwing in another monster if you want to add another fight in. I think it might be good to shift from fighting action to that regrouping and healing that you suggested. c:
Hehe...hmm...yeah...potentially another fight would be a tad repetitive considering Mage is already injured too...heal and regroup it is the...and then some...hiking...
