The Ringing of the Bells [OOC]

Oooh that does look suuper cool. I haven't personally played the game before so I don't quite know what this thing does but I think it would make a wonderful guardian for them to get into a tangle with.

Soo...shall I have them dive into the room then? And then perhaps Mage can describe the guardian then.

And I think probably having Harry and Stean dive past the guardian to do their thing and get the item while the rest distract that guardian is probably the way we'll do this?

That sounds like a plan to me!

The enemy (called a ruin guard in the game) does a lot of the clapping that's shown in the gif, but occasionally it starts spinning to make a whirlwind that knocks the player back. It does that a little less than the clapping. It also can shoot missiles out that track the player and hit unless the player quickly turns a corner or hides behind something, but we might be better off taking that part out. >>

ALso yes...xD...missiles that follow you around would be a little inconvenient in relatively open space like this one...

Got the battle underway

Awesome! I hopefully kept the momentum going in my post.

(I actually don't write action scenes like this too much, so this RP Duo has been a great opportunity for me to get some practice in!)

Okay...soo...there's two options here, we can show the fight happening at the top and leave the secret heist going on off camera so to speak, or show both...which way do you think would work better here? I'm leaning towards the off camera thing, just to keep the flow of the fight scene a bit neater? On the other hand, showing the heist happening could make the fight scene have a bit more suspense?

I'm cool with either one! Both options have benefits. Having the heist also happen in the posts gives Harry and Stean a chance to talk about Mage and everything else that's happened so far, but having it off screen allows us to end the heist/battle without having to worry about the actual pacing of the heist if we start getting bored writing the guardian fight.

Hmm...both good points there...I think I will probably lean towards not showing the heist as I write up the next post, but potentially if the guardian fight gets boring, we can always cut to those two doing something silly as they are heisting.

I hinted at the heist downstairs being done so that we can move on from there if we need or we can stretch the fight out a bit. What would you prefer here?

I think either option would work! We've already had a lot of action scenes in this roleplay, so we don't really need to worry about cutting this one too short. But if there's something you really wanted to include in this scene, I'm cool with stretching it out a little longer.
