This looks so interesting— but life— but so interesting...

If my profile's not up by Monday, it means life got me. Otherwise, I'm in.

Okay, so, just to clear this up, guns haven't been invented yet. Grenadish explosives (alchemical and otherwise) have been invented as well as cannons, but that's about it as far as firearms go. If those even count as firearms.

@Sparkawan and @Terian805, when we start writing, try to make your Reggie and Jad have more differences than one is a pirate and one is a mage who hates pirates, because they have a lot of similarities.

Anyone wanna be a goblin? :-D

@Feltrix I think it would be a good idea to make a WriterFeed Pad. That way we can plot out the story, or figure out how exactly all of our characters are going to end up interacting with each other, since they come from different lifestyles.

Could everyone try to submit their character templates by Monday? If it's a few days later, that's fine, but I want to make the first post sometime next week.

Can I be the goblin? I wanna be the goblin.
The hardest part of writing science fiction is knowing actual science. The same applies for me and realistic fiction.

I had an idea that Sirjad could have been involved in the assassination of the king, having been working as a bodyguard there for some time, then is caught up in whatever the big conspiracy will be throughout the story.

The only thing is that it would take some of the mystery out of who assassinated the King.

What if we keep the King's assassin a secret, but your character is set up as the fall guy? It gives them an interest in clearing their name and adds a layer of murkiness.

It is simple; all the real assassin would need to do is put your character in the right place, time, and equipment to get arrested.

I don't think there's going to be a successful assassination. However, there are tons of conspiracies, so that could still work. One corporation (probably Nano, that seems to be our main one) will try to gain control of the æther flow, but accidentally corrupt it in the process. When used, one 'batch' of æther will explode. Basically, the King will be killed in the resulting series of explosions, and much of Kryn will be destroyed. The citizens will want blood, blaming the factions. Meanwhile, the factions will be trying to regain control of the situation and the throne. But I wouldn't object to an assassination attempt earlier on. Also, I think we should add another corporation.

Hey, @Sparkawan, does Reggie want to be part of Artemus' crew?
