Though the new Legendaries ought to be awesome, I don't think we shall be seeing Legendaries like the Weather Trio again for some time. I just really hope they continue with the Mega Evolutions. If nothing else, that would be enough for me.

Well, a lot of people despised Froakie. But when Greninja showed up, he became so popular that he even joined the Smash Brothers series. I gave him as an example because this always happens when people are introduced to the first 5 'mons of a new generations. Uh, sprites? The sprite era is pretty much over since X/Y (I'll miss them ). But aside that, welp, I don't have anything to say about them personally. Two Nuzlockes were enough for me to realize that what they look like's not the way to get attached to Pokemons, lol. Lookin' at you, Pelipper, My beautiful Rayquaza slayer.
@AstralHunter if you mean that we won't be seeing any Legendary Trio again for a while, I'm afraid that you may be wrong on that point. There are always lesser legendaries accompanying the lore of the new region, while the bigger ones play, well, a bigger role. So unless Game Freak decides to suddenly break their own traditions, we're definitely getting more than just 2 Legendaries, and it's probably gonna be a trio. (I apologize if I'm somehow stating the obvious and didn't reply to what you actually meant. Captain Obvious is not someone to always get mad at :3) As for the Mega Evolutions, it's a craze now. They released new ones for ORAS, so there's no reason why they shouldn't allow new 'Mons to get some. I really wonder which ones though... :3

@Tortwag, I'm afraid you did focus on the wrong detail. (Again. ) I mentioned the Weather Trio specifically. I said we shan't be seeing Legendaries like Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza again for some time. If we are really honest with ourselves, has there been a trio from Gen V onwards that is as awesome as that? Even the Craetion Trio, save for Giratina, doesn't look as impressive. Sure, those three are deities, but Palkia's design is so boring, and Dialga's isn't too different. (Dialga definitely looks better, though.) That's why I'm definitely looking forward to seeing their Primal formes.

Primal Dialga almost just typed dialogue there reminds me a lot of PMD Time, Darkness and Sky.
(... I wonder if Game Freak would be cool enough to connect those :O )
But the Mega Evolutions are certainly cool looking recently. I haven't explored them much because I -- for some reason -- can't bring myself to actually finish ORAS. I got bored after the fifth gym. xD
*mumble* Friggin'... Stoopid... Inability... Brain... Weather... Thought he was talking about Thundurus and lesser Legendaries... STOOPID... URGH...!*mumble* @AstralHunter Eh. We'll see what happens in later Gens, I guess. Speakin' of, since we have a Deity of the Sun and the Moon, I wonder who's gonna be their Rayquaza, and what the eventual 3rd version's gonna be like :3 All I want is my 3-D Battle Frontier at this point. That is legitimately the one thing that would make me go nuts about all of this this - and Scott, the guy who manages the first verson of that place, wears a Hawaiian inspired shirt. PLEASE let this be a hint.
@SpiritedWolfe The PMD games were connected through Sky, I believe, but if you mean like connected to the main game series, that's probably not gonna happen, sadly. Since well it's a spin off. (Those were the days though. PMD - best spin-off there is) Wha... Really? Kinda weird. It's precisely after the 5th Gym that the game actually starts to become a LOT less linear, and a lot more interesting. Maybe I'm biased because Emerald's my favorite of the lot, and ORAS is a glorified remake of it, but I played it recently, so I'm fairly certain about that. Oh well. Tastes and colors, I guess.
"Is there a limit to how much living I can live with my life? How will I know if I've gone too far? And why did I spend my life savings on sunglasses for a whale? I shall find the answers... to these questions."
Emerald is my favorite too! I played it until the game literally died in my GBA. I think I even found my first shiny there and exploited that duplication glitch like there was no tomorrow xD All the master balls! I might pick ORAS back up soon, but I didn't get much farther than actually beating the fifth gym, which may be why I lost interest ^^
It might also have something to do with the fact that I had the ticket event to get the other ... legendary (either Latias or Latios that isn't awarded in the game) and I was hunting for a shiny that I did find! but the game crashed before I could save 8D That was certainly disheartening.
huh, I was thinking of Thunudurus, Tornadus, and Landorus as well. What a great way to remember the several days spent looking for thunderstorms in-game during the year or two I played Pokemon White version for as many days as I could and hoping to find Thunudurus so I could catch it. XD
Well, I don't have much else to add to this conversation. I honestly think most all of the Legendary Trios as awesome, and I can't really place most above the others. except for that one trio I mention above because, yeah, memories. Back when I was ten and clueless that there were any Pokemon beyond the ones I saw in Black/White. And then I learned better. XD
As for the new Legendaries, my brother and I are all both getting exasperated by the fact that Solgaleo looks a lot like Litleo and Pyroar from Pokemon X/Y, just covered in steel and made a lot cooler. But still, I just don't like the design that all much, as it doesn't seem very original. Lunala's is far more creative (none of the bat-based Pokemon resemble it closely, and my older brother made the closest connection Gliscor, but it was distant), although both are fantastic and I still want to get them anyway, especially with those moves and abilities. Still, I just have a hard time getting over the fact that Solgaleo resembles Pyroar and other lion-based Pokemon.
Ah, yes, the posts. I haven't caught up just yet, @AstralHunter; life is being life, and particularly annoying at that (I think I might have exercise-induced asthma? Maybe?). However, based on the contents of the letter, I do have a fairly long list of questions (8-ish? I had to be meticulous about it, because my character is too. ) that I'll present after I finish reading, as well as when I can word them in a way that Achilles would say them. Of course, I need to read through the remainder of the posts, just to see if any might be answered in the midst of everyone getting together. However, I will be sure to show them when I'm finished, k?

That sounds fantastic, @TheSilverFox! Also, I agree with you and your brother on Solgaleo. He is the reason why I thought they had revealed Pyroar and Noivern's Mega Evolutions. If you're honest, wouldn't those two Pokémon be some of the most likely non-starter candidates to receive one?

I know, right?! Its Speed + Infiltrator + Boomburst + Draco Meteor makes it hell to face - as your characters will learn too.

@AstralHunter: Eh, I think Arcanine would have better odds than Pyroar, just because it's been rocking that lion-style for years and years longer, not to mention it is a generally well-liked and more recognized Pokemon. And I like it a little bit more, to be honest. XD
But yeah, definitely Noivern. That Pokemon is awesome, especially with the reasons you've provided (dang, do I have one of my own? I think I might have it's pre-evolution in X somewhere, as that's where I keep most of my Pokemon. Heh, I might've just found a new project), and I wouldn't be surprised if it were to get a Mega Evolution in Generation VII. And boy, won't that be fun? XD
P.S.: Apparently, if there's an event Pokemon being released over several games, and you have two of them, you can get that Pokemon for them both. So now I feel like I have duplicates of a few Legendaries. My older brother doesn't like it, and rightfully so, but I got a kick out of it. Especially when I did it the first time and thought "There's no way I can get this Legendary for this game, I already got it in the other...well, what do you know, I can." Hehehe.

Arcanine is undoubtedly a canine, but it nevertheless has a mane and is based off a legendary Chinese creature that's described as a combination of a lion and a dog. Pokémon like Espeon are also canines, but they strongly resemble cats. It can get confusing. XD
