NaPoWriMo 2016!

NaPoWriMo is when some crazy poets set ourselves the task of writing 30 poems in just one month. The traditionalists will try to write one poem every day, but as long as you've got 30 poems by the end of April, you have officially beaten the challenge!

The event starts on April 1st and the only rule is that you may not write any poetry until then. You can, however, jot down ideas for poems or make a list of themes. Some people like to use one theme for the whole event and have all thirty of their poems revolve around it, but others find it easier to go with the flow and write whatever comes to mind.

Okay, I've done enough procrastinating, I'm in. I will try this and most likely not succeed but note the key word "try".

I swear this is going to be one of those things I do on a whim then later wonder what compelled me to act on that whim, but I'll give it a shot. Brace yourself.

Fun fact--I've attempted this four times, and gotten close three of those times, but never actually done the full thirty. This year I plan on doing it.

Sure, why not? This looks like a lot of fun. I'm curious to see if I'll be able to suceed in my first attempt.
