Choose Zyreli's fate

  • 1) Through magic or steel, Zyreli's quest will when he draws his final breath in battle. 21%
  • 2) Let Zyreli meet his end unaware as he foolishly dies by the hands of a trap in one of the Towers. 14%
  • 3) A fate truly worse than death- enslavement. Zyreli was too weak to withstand the stronger forces of those who guard the Pages, and will spend a lifestyle in servitude of them, until age or starvation claims his life. 64%

That would be counted as buying supplies @Poopsie... It is to ensure that you don't just stockpile all your points and steamroll all the people who obey the rules. Also, since your characters aren't healers or fire mages, how do you plan on preparing said wolf for consumption and not receive food poisoning (which will, obviously, cause a point penalty the longer you have it)

I just like to keep people on their toes.

Also, thank you @AstralHunter for posting the list. I had very little time over the weekend on my computer, so... Also, the Trial aught to be up by tonight 8pm GMT+2...

@Deskro and @15253- since Tane and Asphyxius' first Trial posts weren't submitted before the set deadline, each of them will accrue a -50 point penalty. This penalty will increase exponentially for every following transgression of the set deadline.

Information!!

Okay, so as mentioned in the next Trial, you will be travelling to one of two towers, the Command Tower and the Reliquary Tower. These are very, very ancient towers, close to the White Seas of Silence (the waters are always white) This will be the first Trial where you have to reserve a place or item to go to/ find, and must be done with care (each decision will have benefits and negative effects)

Since I don't want everyone storming into one single tower, I have set up two lists, one for each tower. There are 10 spots per tower to reserve, with the 21st person (an npc) being randomly placed via the roll of a D6. Here are the two towers, their benefits, etc and their respective reservation lists.

The Command Tower

It is a large block-like tower, built with black and grey stone. It has several holes that act as windows (no glass in) and has a high presence of weapons, soldiers of all magical types and races, and overall very warlike feel. It is surrounded by blizzards, and is on a cliff overlooking the White Seas of Silence.

Benefits: When choosing this tower, your Champion will gain the ability to choose one magic type of temporary follower (any follower of that type) will be half price permanently.
Negatives: A selected magic type items (like the torches, crystal shards, etc... The magic type depends on which follower type you set to half price) will be increased to 150% price permanently.

Reservation list:

1. Trykster (@Chaser)
2. Mane (@Steggy)
3. Zefen (@SpiritedWolfe)
4. Mannaric (@CandyWizard)
5. Lysander (@AstralHunter)
6. Frost (@Poopsie)
7.
8.
9.
10.

The Reliquary Tower

This is an ancient, circular shaped tower built from white and beige stone. It also has multiple windows, but with stained glass of dozens of colors to create a magical atmosphere inside.
The tower is filled with books, ancient relics and other artefacts of the sort, and is filled with mages, priests and hundreds of servants and disciples (once again of all races ad magic types) It is constantly surrounded by a magical fog, and is on a small rocky island in the White Seas of Silence.

Benefits: When choosing this tower, the Champion will gain the ability to choose a selected moderate class magic type items (not the top of that specific type of item) which will be permanently made half price.
Negatives: A selected magic type followers (all followers of a specific magic type, the magic depending on the type chosen for the benefit) will be increased to 150% price permanently.

Reservation list:

1. Severan (@LordZeus)
2. Sybilla (@Chaser)
3. Mira (@Steggy)
4. Avali (@SpiritedWolfe)
5. Daryon (@CandyWizard)
6. Aquanette (@AstralHunter)
7.
8.
9.
10.

Please reserve your spots in the DT. Also, if you have two characters, please try and place one in either tower, just to challenge yourself in the future ;-)

Happy page hunting :D

May I reserve a place in the Reliquary? And about the choice that gives me... what would an enchanted chalice have in terms of benefits, with regard to the point system? I will make my decision after you answer that question please.

Reliquary position 1 reserved.

In regards to those items (its Enchanted Goblet btw, and Holy Chalice... two different items), by which I mean the items that provide lighting, protection, satiation, clarity and purity, they would decrease the amount deduced when you enter a sector to which your Champion does not belong (so in the case of satiation, when Severan normally enters a Red sector, he would accrue a -20 penalty. With the flask and Goblet, however, that amount gets halved) If he has Silence in Red Sectors, though, these items add points (with the lowest value items add only +10, then +20, and finally +30 points when you use them... Note, this will only apply in the relevant sectors, so an Enchanted Goblet will have no effect in any sector other than Red sectors, and so on...)
It might seem like nothing at first, but the amounts will increase as the SB progresses, so I would say it is a good investment. (I mean, the opposite is also true- if you don't buy it, those lost points might stack up to quite a hefty total and come back to haunt you)

Thanks. I will ask that you make the enchanted goblet half price for me then. Oh and could you please tell me what the point cap is for this trial? And if, by chance, my character goes to the rust gate next (as will be announced by you in the third trial) will I be able to by the goblet after you announce the third trial, and suffer no point reduction due to the gate? Or will I have to buy it now for that?

If you buy it now, it will be full price. The benefit can only be reaped after you post the Trial successfully...

Point cap is such an inaccurate term (since that varies due to the Completion of the Trial points), but with each category, this is the maximum for this Trial:

Position of Completion: Maximum available 230 (if posted first)- Minimum 80 (if posted last)
Trial completion: 75 points
Bonus point: 25 points
Word count: maximum for this Trial 250 points

Thus, the highest amount you can receive is 580 points if posted first, with bonus point, and with 2500 words.

Tryk will go to the Command Tower, and Sibylla will go to the Reliquary.

...Also, tag me next time a trial starts, 'kay?

Hey, so I would like to reserve 4 spots, 2 for my characters, and 2 for those of SpiritedWolfe.

Zefen and Mannaric go to the Command Tower, whilst Daryon and Avali go to the Reliquary Tower.

Thank you, and looking forward to seeing this trial completed ^^
Deep thoughts remind me of unfinished

Bleargh! Ideally, Lysander would go to the Reliquary Tower and Aquanette to the Command Tower, but of course, the benefits that most suit them should be at the other tower. *shakes fist at the Wanderer for dramatic effect*

Therefore, Lysander will be going to the Command Tower and Aquanette to the Reliquary Tower. I wanted Lysander to take something from his tower, but now, I have no idea what that should be...

PS: One last thing - I object to the bonus point amount! The storybook challenge specifically states 30, not 25. You stick a price tag on something, that's the price you must accept, even if it's not what you initially wanted. :P
