Choose Zyreli's fate

  • 1) Through magic or steel, Zyreli's quest will when he draws his final breath in battle. 21%
  • 2) Let Zyreli meet his end unaware as he foolishly dies by the hands of a trap in one of the Towers. 14%
  • 3) A fate truly worse than death- enslavement. Zyreli was too weak to withstand the stronger forces of those who guard the Pages, and will spend a lifestyle in servitude of them, until age or starvation claims his life. 64%

@15253, that's exactly why you should make the next one Ren-ish, since Nero is already Morn-ish. ;)

@Halfbloodcheetah, those sound reasonable. Just remember to add the other three aspects as well, as laid out in that quote. (I'll read your character profile, along with those of @CandyWizard and @Blaspherica, in about eight hours from now, when I'll have access to my PC again.)

@LordZeus, the Maze will specify when you are allowed to kill other participants, but for the most part, the characters will ignore/sabotage each other. But "alliance" is probably less accurate than "agreement not to kill each other and helping each other to stay alive, for now". Whether another character chooses to engage or ignore you depends on the characters, their Guilds, and the stage in the Trials. Each of the ten Guilds are alligned with each second one. If you take the image in the first post, that means:
1. Azorius Senate + House Dimir + Rakdos Cult + Gruul Clans + Selesnya Conclave = more or less allied
2. Simic Combine + Orzhov Syndicate + Izzet League + Golgari Swarm + Boros Legion = more or less allied
So Shade, being Guildless, could side with anyone, but he will probably side with the first half; thus, he will more readily kill Revan and Nef, members of the Orzhov Syndicate, while he might consider helping Raeve and Tryk, members of House Dimir and a fellow Guildless, respectively. This will be properly discussed once we get there.

@CandyWizard, Mannaric can be a light elf, since they are commonly associated with the Azorius Senate. As for the Selesnya Conclave character... a technological being would fit better with the Izzet League, since the Conclave mostly consists of light elves, humans, centaurs, and avian races. They, along with the Simic Combine, claim to be the protectors of nature, so do you see the problem...? (Who has the rightful claim is a hotly debated topic among the two Guilds.)

EDIT: All character profiles have been approved. (Blaspherica, just add a duration for Antipathy and Foresight, please.)

Sure thing, @AstralHunter. I don't have any other ideas for other characters that could fit in the Selesnya Conclave. I'll make Mannaric an elf as soon as I come back from class. ^^

Oh, and I read the character profiles, and almost everyone has added statistics about the skills, spells, or moves. So my question is: Are we supposed to do that, or are they just for reference as to how the spells generally work?

I have an idea for Selesnya, but since this is my first SB, I'm not sure whether I can do two characters effectively.

@LordZeus, if you want to get used to storybooking, then having just one character is a good idea. Then again, you only grow if you push yourself, so if you want to submit another character, go for it!

@CandyWizard, in many of those cases, I asked for the statistics. With some spells, you can automatically tell their nature and know what the creator of the CP meant, but in other cases, I need to know the spell's duration, recharge rate, etc. for me to decide whether it's OP or not. The problem lies in that our characters are allowed to be advanced in their field of expertise, so we all want to throw in the most powerful spells and moves we know, which is why I have to ask them to tone it down a bit. But don't worry, those who survive long enough ( ) will become more powerful as the SB progresses. Don't think your characters' powers will save them, though - there are other elements to this SB too... *maniacal laugh*

@Verser, once it gets to the last eleven trials, we'll have reached the point where it might be better to kill on sight. :P

@AstralHunter I made my character a Light Elf. Are my spells good? I don't think they require any stats as they are - they're very flexible, and there are many negative sides to using them.

Also, the knights in the picture at the top of the SB thread look like they're riding segways xD

Really though, the picture is awesome and truly epic.

@CandyWizard, I see what you mean. :D (To be honest, no professional swordsman would hold their weapon like that.) But TCC would nevertheless be glad you approve of the images.

Of course, he would if he was here, and by "here" I mean capable of logging on and running his own SB. Once again, he's on a camp, except this time he didn't even tell me about it - I had to ask his father of my own accord. If only there was a way we could spam his wall in retribution...

Oh, but that still doesn't answer your question; yes, your spells are excellent. Not only are they powerful, as is to be expected, but they are also well-balanced, as they should be. Well done. ^_^

It would be great to have the guild banners, though not because of seeing which guild is still in the game, but because it would make it easier to see which character is from which guild.

Auxiira's suggestion is pretty good if you ask me. There are over 20 characters, after all, it wouldn't be too difficult to mix up their guilds.

For me, banners are fine and dandy since they show the character but sometimes you have to use imagination to think of the character. Auxi's suggestion should do fine since it tells you the guide and whatnot.

To all of you who already voted, I apologize, but I added @Auxiira's alternative option... Please casts your votes again... ;)

And I apologize to Auxi for her misspelled username, but it takes time to edit it via phone, so I unfortunately can't go edit it again without my parents beheading me for tardiness...

Banners can take longer to load :/

Could somebody please describe to me what the Avian races are like?

Okay, so here are just a few examples of what Avian race might look like (note- these are just concept art, so use your imagination... Basically anything with bird-like components that is sentient and can fly {except Angelic, Demonic or draconic creatures... They are races of their own}, Also preferably bipedal, but other pedalisms are also allowed provided your reasons, etc are satisfactory)

And so on, and so forth... Even a normal human or elf crossed with bird-like or bat-like (yes they count as Avian, just they're usually Guildless) counts as an Avian race. Just no angelic, etc traits please...
I hope this helped.
