Hey @Bambi!! Your profile is quite decent and nice, but with just one slight issue- the guns and vodka...

Gunpowder weaponry are strictly prohibited to the Izzet and Rakdos Guilds, and are at present so basic and rudimentary that they aren't commercially available or even used for military purposes, so... Please change that to crossbows, arbalests or whatnot... (there is a completely technological and magical Plane of existence, but that is not Ravnica)

Regarding the vodka, I would prefer such specific alcohols not to be present. Stuff like beer, wine, cider, or rum are allowed, since they are vague terms, but vodka, tequila, port, champagne, etc, all of these are too specific, so try and avoid them (usually they predominantly from a single country or culture group, so I wish not to bring earthly elements into this...)

I always get a little excited when a sentence starts with "However, instead of going the Lumi way..."

Also technically, Vodka is just normally a wheat mash that's been distilled and filtered 3-5 times throughout the full process of its fermentation. While it's heavily associated with Russia in our world, the truth is that versions of it have cropped up in all global alcohol anthropology.

And if you were to add REALLY crisp herbs to that wheat, you'd have gin--which I'd argue is more likely to show up in the more pretentious guilds.

Not always! When you think of the stereotypical Russian Vodka, then most often you're going to run into potatoes. But the fact remains that Vodka is just the word we use, taken from Russian, because it's a stereotype! And because potatoes are cheap, grow underground, and don't mind some awkward climates, Russian Vodka is stereotypically based on the fermentation of potatoes; but it's a disservice to say it's always potato-based because in reality, potato mash generally produces a more varied product than something produced from wheat, which is the method I prefer due to a.) the commonality of wheat globally, b.) the regularity of the glucose-to-water ratio in wheat, and c.) the affordability of the product.

Technically, I associate wine with France and beer with Germany/Britain, rum with the Caribbean, so if we want to be pedantic, then we can rule out every alcohol and the characters can all be teetotallers.

Actually @Auxiira, @TheClockworkConjurer is right, at least about Tequila and Champagne. "Regular" Champagne is known as Brut, while "Regular" Tequila is known as Mezcal.

if we want to be pedantic ravnica is so vast and rich most of anything can be found there, including but not limited to any kind of alcohol you desire.

@AstralHunter, I created the character for the Selesnya Conclave, I will probably make a few edits as it is, but if there is anything that's missing or is out of place, let me know and I'll get right to it. ^^

Brut/demi-sec refers to the quantity of sugar in the champagne, and not to whether it is "regular" or not.

But I agree with Ital on this one. Just let the alcohols be without their connotations. It works perfectly fine in other SBs, and I don't see why it should detract from the quality of our writing that one alcohol or another comes from said or said place in our world, when we're playing in a completely different one.

So we are starting by writing the summonings?

PS: I love how we're using the DT for actual discussions, even if it's not related to the SB.

Obviously instead of beginning by writing the summons, we should begin with each of our characters evaluating their favorite alcohol in Ravnica. CLEARLY that's what the reader really cares about.
