@AstralHunter: As it's not yet been made official in the SB, do you think you could change Anya in that post of past humans to a Weavile? I've been doing some thinking, and not only is it perfect for her cold demeanor, but a Sableye (known for trickery) doesn't really fit for her.
Oh, of course. In that case, @Tortwag, I suppose you can sleep whenever you want to.
@Robusto, it has been done! (Please name the Ghosts Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde – that would be perfect.)

@AstralHunter eeeeh, maybe not around 5AM XD But don't worry, that Holidays period ends this week, so, you'll get to "GO BACK TO SLEEP" me right after that.

I'm surprised that they created an entire animated video just for that, though. To be honest, I had thought it was a film trailer, since the graphics quality was the same.

Also, I have been patiently waiting for more than a week now, but finally, I am allowed to play herald.
Ladies, gentlemen, and Pokémon of all ages, please welcome the newest host of YWS mould, the one, the only...
TheSilverFox!
Spoiler
@TheSilverFox, on behalf of the SB Crew, welcome aboard! Now, @Lumi has ensured that you have the correct instructions on polishing his rapier, but your other chores will be detailed by @Rydia soon. Once you have finished with his weapon, you can start scrubbing the dinghy named the U.S.S. Foxtrot tied to Pier Nine in Storybook Harbour. Have fun!

@AstralHunter Blizzard is well know for doing that though, it's not that surprising when you're used to their style, actually. The animation style totally looks like a Pixar movie however (probably 'cause it's in collaboration with 'em).
@15253 aaaaaand that's what you get for judging a book by your interpretation of its cover So yeah, FPS. Looks really good too, from what I saw in the Gameplay trailer.
Ah, wait, Silver's a mod now? Is that what's going on? 'Cause congrats
...I have no idea what to say besides that.

Congrats on your modification, Silver! (Okay, that was really bad...)
Expect a post within the next two weeks, everyone.

How does one become a Mod? It's a goal I'd love to strive for. Also, my entry for a contest will be finished with today, so not only will I be posting frequently again, but I can FINALLY launch Orphan.
Goodness, why haven't I been getting notifs for this DT? <.< Sorry about that, everybody.
Anyways, thanks, everybody! And yes, @Verser, you can make me laugh.
@Buggiedude2340: I approve of the bad pun. XD
@15253: Yep; it only took me ten months to go from being virtually unknown to being a Junior Moderator. And no, I'm not banning you; if Hunter hasn't banned you by now, I'm not going to do it either.
@Robusto: I suppose that I've just been active in the community. I've done a lot of reviews, made friends with all kinds of people, helped out and provided advice here and there, and tried my best to help out overall. *shrugs* That's all the reasons I'm aware of as to why I received the request to be a mod, anyways. I'm still surprised that I am, to be honest. XD
And yes, I look forward to seeing the Orphan SB, as well as the posts that you have planned.
@TheSilverFox Well that shows how active you are in the YWS community, and how effective your numerous interventions have been. Which is seriously neat, considering that you've already ascended to the next level! ...Huh. I DID find something else to say after all.
@Robusto You're starting Orphan? Hmm. I'll have to check on that one from time to time, but I probably won't be active enough to join it. Good luck with it, though.

@Robusto, mods are chosen according to their activity around the site. For example, during the nominations in April, the Storybook Crew was short on staff, so that round focussed on the avid storybookers. However, since there were so many from which to choose, they followed the usual checklist: commitment, consistency, and diversity.
Wanderer, Wolf and I were committed to SBs, we participated in multiple sections of the site, and we were consistent in our activity, which us why we received the most votes. (We can't see those, of course, since they were removed. Oh, and despite using the past tense, all the listed qualities still apply, save for Wolf, who's on a hiatus until December.)
So, when it comes to specific things we look for in mods, I suppose I can create a list from what I saw: Spoiler
Primary Focuses
1. Reviewing – This is a site for writers, so actively reviewing, especially novels (or poetry, if you want to join the Poetry Crew instead of the Gen Lit Crew), is the best and fastest way to get noticed. Quality always wins though, so even if you write a ton of reviews but they don't help the author much, your chances of being greened, solely because of that, are practically nonexistent. 2. Resources – If you answer a lot of questions in the Resources section and your answers are useful, the denizens that dwell there notice. If that is where you are most active, you are likely to join the Resources Crew, but just answering questions there from time to time also serves as a feather in your cap. 3. Storybooking – As with the other two, living on the open seas or occasionally enjoying a cruise/engaging in a naval battle raises your awareness in the eyes of the pirates that rule these waters. Due to collaboration being mandatory in here, the more involved you are, the greater your chances of joining the Storybook Crew.
Secondary Focuses
1. Community – Your sociality and maturity greatly determines your chances of becoming a mod. The most favourable candidates are those who are friendly, composed and approachable. After all, a mod is one of more than thirty-five thousand users, so we choose those who we feel will lead by example, be capable of maintaining order, and can take fair, appropriate action when handling a situation. 2. Welcoming – Welcoming new members, while a simple act, shows you are actively involved in the community and willing to help. This isn't a necessity, naturally, but it takes time and must be done on a regular basis, so it's a good indication of your commitment. 3. Debate – Certain topics can be hotly debated, so showing us you can remain calm and rational definitely counts in your favour. Of course, just sharing your knowledge on any topic is enough. 4. Miscellaneous – Whether it's writing articles for Squills, helping out with editing for the YWLJ, creating cover art for people's novels, or even being a pleasant presence in chat, everything you do can ultimately gain you enough votes for ascension to the Green Mould.
That is a monster of a list, and if you had to tick all of those boxes to become a Mod, there would be no Moderators at all. As long as you fulfill the requirements of a primary focus and at least one additional focus, you can be in the running. My advice, though, would be to write two to five reviews a month, socialise with people more often, welcome new members at least once every few days, and obviously, continue storybooking.
And more posts, yay!
