@Charizard821, it is a perfectly honest mistake. I understand how you can get confused. However, if you were actually to hear me speak, you wouldn't think that at all. That's why I at it's extremely unlikely for a foreigner to think I am speaking an African language.

Oh, and this is just me being technical, but in linguistics, a dialect is a variation of a language, which African tongues such as isiXhosa, isiZulu, Sesotho, etc. most certainly are not. They are independent languages.

Nevertheless, I am (usually) a pacifist, and like I said, I've never actually hit someone, so Astral Punch is a move I know, but have never used. Besides, I did say I'd only do it if you insulted Afrikaans, which nobody here has.

That's a very useful explanation of "main droits", by the way! "Main gauche", though, meant nothing to me. You know there are two common pronunciations for the letter o when standing on its own and that "awe" isn't one of them?

@Tortwag, it will take me having to hear physically hear a Frank saying "Joan of Arc" and "Orleans" with the French r before it will sound right, but even then... (Orleans has always been "awe-lee-aww" to me, so "awg-lee-aww" sounds like I'm choking.)

Oh yes, but you see my dear, the amazingly diverse and civiliized Europeans do not know nor do they should feel the need to even care about such trivial details. After all, we Europeans do not need to learn anything more that we already have, for we are the pinnacle of diversity.

And by the way? The whole phrase right after "after all"? That was a quote. From a guy who studies anthropology. Who was supposed to represent European ideologies. Who said that on TV, more specifically on France 24 - International version - about 4 years ago.

Well then Astral, you HAVE to watch French programs, or just skype me and I'll start talking in French. I tell you again: French "r" is for every word that has an "r" in it. That's one of the few reasons why many French people have trouble with learning languages - especially when they have to "roll" it. I'm sparred because Mom and Dad speak Portuguese as a first language. And French as a second. And Spanish as a third. ...And Italian as a fourth, with Russian as a fifth for my Dad, lol, yeah, I guess it's in the family.

In other news, while Showdown is currently less show and more down, I reinstalled the Pokémon TCG Online, so I can continue with that again!

Don't expect me to face anyone in it, though, since three new sets have been released since I was last able to play.
