@Charizard821 Son. I am Shell Master Tortwag. You could throw a tiny shard of bread that it would inspire me to create an entire concept out of it. WellImeanthatactuallyhappenedalreadybutanyway
Like, that cabbage you threw and those armies we've gathered? From that, I got a Pepper Scythe concept that can spawn little plants with harsh, spicy aroma in the air to paralyze enemies, I got an entire civilization bazed on beans and/or plans and their style of armors and everydayh life items, and even antagonists to them - thanks to Silver's flamethrower. And (total coincidence), after you threw that cabbage (like, a day after), this school year's first art subject wa revealed to be about deformed fruits and plants. WHAT ARE THE FREAKIN' ODDS.
Please keep throwing stuff like cabbages at me from time to time. I need data. Not... Not necessarily food though.
@15253 I'll read your post once I'm done with Robusto's. But first, allow me to spend some time in Emerald's Battle Frontier. I miss my free time already...
"Is there a limit to how much living I can live with my life? How will I know if I've gone too far? And why did I spend my life savings on sunglasses for a whale? I shall find the answers... to these questions."
Great post, @15253! I am amazed at how quickly you can come up with posts of such quality.
@Tortwag, the squares to which they can move will depend on where they are. On your board, I suppose it works, but if they want to come onto mine, you should know that you can only do that from right to left - so you have to get through my Tall-Nuts first!
Here are my plants' statistics, but explained in terms that might make a bit more sense. Take note that the plants don't have levels, so I shan't include that. Currently, I don't see how levels affect the gameplay anyway, so an explanation would be great. Also, the plants only have Attack and HP. Does that mean I have to assign them an appropriate Defense, or what?
So, since I see your Beanies don't have an Attack stat listed, I'll try to adapt mine according to that. It takes ten normal peas or spores to take down an average zombie, but three to take down an imp, your weakest enemy. You weakest unit is the Beanie, with 6 HP, so I shall make the average attack 2.
Spoiler
AstralHunter's Lawn Forces:
Cob Cannon - a corn-based howitzer that can fire a corn missile anywhere on the board Cost: 350 Sun Toughness: medium (20 HP) Damage: massive (120 HP) Special: destroys targets in a small area
Winter Melon - a floral catapult that launches wintery fruit at the targets, doing damage to a group of targets and halving their speed Cost: 200 Sun Toughness: average (10 HP) Damage: very heavy (16 HP) Special: fires once every two turns
Tall-Nut - a heavy-duty wall that can survive an extreme amount of punishment Cost: 125 Sun Toughness: very high (120 HP) Damage: N/A Special: cannot be vaulted over
Solar Spikerocks - a nasty hazard that hurts any targets that walk on it Cost: 250 Sun Toughness: extreme (1080 HP) Damage: heavy (8 HP) Special: can only be destroyed by being physically beaten
Cattail - an animal-resembling plant that can attack targets anywhere on the board, in the air and on the ground Cost: 225 Sun Toughness: average (10 HP) Damage: average x2 (10 HP x2) Special: can fire spikes backwards
You made a compromise, for which I am grateful, so I shall return the favour by banning fertiliser and Pumpkins, which I normally put around my Tall-Nuts and everything else. I shall also refrain from planting additional forces or replacing lost plants, but since many of your units can summon other ones, I shall implement Wall-Nut Firstaid, which allows me to fully restore a Tall-Nut's HP once every four turns.
Also, to allay any concerns about them, the Cob Cannons cannot fire a corn missile each turn - they have to wait three turns after each launch. And though the Cattails fire quite rapidly, the spikes hit only the target, so if it dies before all the spikes hit it, those spikes harmless pass the other targets by. They can't choose targets either, instead aiming for whatever is closest.
PS: Keep in mind that the two centre lanes are in water, so you need floatation devices to attack anything in the pool at close-quarters. Also keep in mind what I told Char in reference to pesticides.

@AstralHunter -...You know Astral, when I made a folder for my army, I made a folder for yours, first. Thanks for adapting the HP and Hp damage they give though, that's something I didn't think about. The reason for me adding a few bosses is exactly because of that Cob Cannon - I am also aware of that three turn recovery time.
-And speakin' of Queen Bean: if that Cob bullet hits her, she'll lose both of her arms, but only the attack AFTER that will affect her body. Do keep that in mind.
That Tall-Nut first Aid is totally fair and I don't mind it at all, considering what my minions can do. -Actually, all the enemies I have that are airborne can move right above them. They don't jump over your Tall-Nuts: they just... y'know. Fly. That aside, I can only move from right to left, huh... Well that's the plan. Perfect! Going back into my moving rules though, am I allowed to move on the sides without backing off? AKA to replace some minions on the sides, and whatnot. -The levels don't affect gameplay in this crossover field we have. It's just to give you an idea of their strength. -No, you don't necessarly have to apply Defense stats to them. What we have to do, however, is apply a functioning damage-system for mine. IN Superstar Saga, the elvels DO matter. But in our case, I'm not sure what gimmick I can use to inflict the right amount of damage to your minions without being totally unfair or unbalanced. Any proposition? If not I'll just keep lookin'. And speakin' of unbalanced, 1080 HP for your Spikerocks? This almost makes me wanna take Bowletta in my army...
@Robusto -WHY IS KYOGRE PREPARED TO ATTACK THIS SOON? DARN IT! Ugh, I'm not ready, not ready at all. Now you're forcing me to set Char up AND prepare the Venom Knives at the same time, and without delay at all. Darn it darn it darn it. -Ohhhh. So Rayquaza is part of that third force, huh. Intersting. I wonder how my side plot will come into play. This whole thing's gonna get really, interestingly messy. -Lady? Pff. C'mon, Giratina. You're genderless. Imagining that powerhouse as a lady is actually pretty darn cool though. Hmm. *imagines* Spoiler
:O Well that is COOL. Lady Giratina FTW! -Thanks for settin' me up! Hm. Didn't expect Ariala and Fleedjio to listen as well actually, but I'll manage.
Wow. Really interesting post. Lots of events comin' our way. ...But seriously, why's Kyogre attacking so soon... *grumbles*
@15253 -I was about to ask who Fluer was, 'til I realized that it was a typo on Fleur's name. You may want to fix that - it only bothers me because it's a name, really sorry for the nitpick. -Still very poetic chapter. Ren should totally write a book. Twinkiel would buy it. -Darn, Ren needs to stop burning everything everytime he walks :O And... Is it me or Xerneas is totally a bit of a troll? XD

I read the posts, @Robusto and @15253. You both have my seal of approval; they were excellent posts to read, and I'm impressed by their quality and the plot events/emotions that run through each. Nicely done!

@TheSilverFox I KNOW, RIGHT?! Been staring at this picture for a few weeks, I love it XD
@15253 Ya welcome. Legendary trolls are fun, lol.
@AstralHunter So you posting next, or I'm doin' it? I still need that Jewels post, with her preferably out of the Shrine, else she might be thrown head first into danger :3

Silver's Main Theme (Because it's creepy, interesting, and the other song I was considering swears too much. If anyone still wants to listen to it, the song is "You're Gonna Go Far Kid," by The Offspring):
Yeah. That's pretty much it for my character's themes right now. Enjoy!
EDIT: Thanks a lot, @Tortwag; now I can't stop looking at it either. XD

Also... Wow. You're doing another SB at the same time? Darn it. I hope I can keep up the pace. With CAMP and LMS in the way, I probably won't, but I guess I can stalk :3

@Tortwag, that's good to hear! Anyway, flying targets completely bypass Tall-Nuts and Spikerocks, yes. But speaking of Spikerocks, the only reason I say their HP is that high is because of a scenario I encounter during Survival Endless:
So, I always have Spikerocks in Survival Endless; I mean firstly, zombies can't eat them, and secondly, they punish all the zombies on it at once, which is awesome. However, I say their HP is so high because of Gargantuars. They are hulking giants of a zombie that carry a sign post, a telephone pole, or the like and use it instantly squash any plants in front of them - my Pumpkin-protected Tall-Nuts included. However, I noticed that with Spikerocks, they hit them about nine times before the Spikerocks finally disappear. (Similarly, Spikerocks can also pop multiple vehicles' tires, instead of just one.) That means they kind of stay there for a long time, like they are supposed to. Also note that they can't move, like all my plants, and they can only attack targets on them, so it's justified.
By the way, calm down about Kyogre. @Robusto and I have been discussing it, and I'm actually on it already. About what else did you think would my next post be? (But don't calm down completely, since I'm not going to solve the problem just yet. PM/IM me if you want to discuss details.)
Robusto, so we just ignore that theory, in addition to Zygarde's other forms? If so, then it's business as usual, but if not, then I don't think Xerneas would be too happy with Zygarde being released...
