I am taking requests again!
So I figured it was about time I made one of these. Mea here for all your review requests!
I'm willing to review pretty much anything.
Things I will review:
-Short stories
-Poems
-Chapters*
-Scripts
-Essays
-Lyrics
*I will review ANY novel chapters. That's right - you got that chapter 36 that's been sitting in the Green Room for three months? Bring it to me, I'll review it. Only caveat is you take the review as-is - I will not go back and read the rest of the novel, I just don't have time for that. I'll do my best with what I'm given in the chapter. You're welcome to provide a bit of a plot summary in the request if you want me to know what's going on. Also, the conditions below still apply.
Note: I will only take requests for up to three chapters at a time. If you want me to read your whole story, PM me and we'll talk.
Things I will not review:
-Anything with an excessive amount of swearing or mature content (I don't mind violence, but I dislike sex scenes.) If you really want me to review something with that, post here anyway and I'll consider it and get back to you.
-Anything with more than 4-5 good reviews on it.
Guarantees:
-It will be at least 1000 characters long, and usually significantly longer. Only exceptions would be if the piece is really, really short or if I think it's absolutely perfect. (A rare exception.) I tend to focus on the bigger picture rather than the nitpicks, unless I can't find anything else to comment on.
-If there's something in particular you want me to comment on, tell me in your post and I'll make sure to include a section on that.
-It will be done within three days of your request date. If for some reason I won't be able to make that, I'll let you know and get it done as soon as I can.
Harshness
I call it like I see it, but I won't be mean about it and I'll always offer suggestions on how to improve. I'm really just not very good at sugarcoating - I'll never try to tear anyone down. I'll tell you if I loved it, but if I hated it I'll still try to give an impartial review. If you want me to be more/less harsh, just mention it in the request.
