And @AstralHunter, you made some very alid points. That's the point of the psyche battles. To break down every individual detail and analyze them to decide whether they are a success or not. The five difficulties are arranged in order of difficulty of conversion.

Weak willed: Pretty easy since these people have little or no reason to do what they do, and only do it because it's all they know.

Anger Driven: These people have reached a point where they let their emotions, more specifically anger, drive them. They aren't very rational, but can be made so with the right points.

Blinded by Faith: These people follow their cause because they believe it's the right thing to do, and blindly defend it to the end. Unless they can be shown the errors of their ways.

Nefarious: These people are evil, and they know it. Good luck with these guys.

Black Hearted: Pretty much the "you're screwed" people. People like Giratina take up this spot. Ones whose instinct is pure evil, and will never change. But maybe, with enough people, they can be defeated... or maybe not.

@AstralHunter Your point is perfectly valid, and that's pretty much the reason why I'm fine with both endings. This is head or tails. As I said I really don't know, it depends on how much he wants to trust Alek in this or not.
...And I can't believe we'll have to do this for every single Psyche battle, DARn this is gonna get hard.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning... Now I really wanna play this game... But hey you're referencing to a bossfight, darn. Since it was a "moment" I didn't think about it. But how hard was she as a boss? I mean... What were her ablities and how hard was she compared to the others?

Yeeeeah, I kinda figured Mewtwo was a bit like me when I get angry. Explosive, unrational and keeps a grudge for about 10 mins, and then recovers reason, understands that he was freakin' stupid and goes to apologize. Can't wait to read Gabriel's reaction, lol.

Alek is right in every way so therefore he should win the fight. And yes, their will be a fight, Avellon isn't the type to back down, especially when birk, or blake, or whatever his name is, is dead because of Alek.

@Tortwag, let's put it this way. The first time I encountered Ciara Sydanus, my character was in an ethereal dreamlike plane. After questioning me, she almost killed me with one electric tornado (and I was already an extremely powerful Seer at that point), and proceeded to either kill or possess the highly adept mages who were performing the ritual that allowed me to enter said plane.

The only other two female villains' battles ended quickly, even though the Widow was surrounded by way too many spiders, and the Maid of Windemere kept summoning Sprites, Threshes and other Wild Fae to battle me. But not Ciara Sydanus, oh no. She mostly fights me on her own, but every now and then, she compels other nearby mages to attack you, all while you have to navigate a minefield she conjured in the courtyard of the blasted Academy itself!

No other boss, no matter who they are, came even close to being as tough as her. Before you (the Fateless One) came along, she couldn't even be killed, but had to be sealed away with an extremely large rune by the three most powerful mages of that time. Yeah...

Ok so the next part concerns mostly Astral, so anyone who doesn't wanna read the following wall of text, I'mma save you the trouble.

@AstralHunter ...That... Sounds... Amazingly hard. No really, I can picture this. I've been through awful stuff as well.
WAIT A SEC, you have to fight WHILE dodging the minefield?! That's OP Touhou stuff right there. Man. I... Wow, I REALLY AM looking forward to fight her now, lemme finish my school year and I'll play the heck outta this game!

I find very interesting that she doesn't behave like mosts bosses of Kingdoms of Amalur, 'cause that's usually what makes a boss unique. I can only think of two examples comparable to that: Abyssion and Omega Zero.

-Abyssion was an optional boss in Tales of Symphonia, and at first you don't even know he's a boss, he's just some guy who asks you to collect the 8 Devil's Arms (legendary weapons, that are by the way the most powerful weapons in the game AND hardest to use) used by an ancient evil king to prevent anyone from usin' them again. Then he asks you to join him in the Temple of Darkness to seal away the artifacts for ya and give you your reward, but then actually ends up creating a special spell out of them.
That he uses said spell on himself. And you have fight him.
He's alone, but he can basically do EVERYTHING. He's a near invincible close-range fighter with twin demonic blades (and he can totally destroy your healers after temporarily knocking back your front fighters), a perfect High-Mage who masters all elements, rivals Genis and easily surpasses his casting speed ( Genis = most powerful mage in the game, and he's on your side), and he basically has no weakness with 240000 HP, which in Tales of Symphonia, is a lot. Like... A lot. Especially with the damage he does. The only thing he can't do are invocations, but by the time YOU try to cast one of these, he already knocked away your front fighters and is approaching your Summoner. If not, he's casting a spell, which is worse for you.

-Then, there's Omega. In the near end of Megaman ZX, there's a new place you can reach called Area N, in which you can fight against old bosses from the previous generations of the game (Megaman Zero 3 and 4 bosses). At the far east of the area lies a special virtual zone in which you (note: this is completely unexpected) can fight the ultimate form of Megaman Zero 3's final boss, the God of Destruction himself: Omega Zero. The funniest part about this is that his ultimate form is actually the smallest one, and at the beginning of each battle, he strikes a pose and says: "Ware wa Messiah nari! HA, HAHAHAHA!" <--- means "I am the Messiah".
He's without a shadow of a doubt the hardest boss in the game, and one of the hardest boss in the Megaman history. is the only one to perform a near-instakill 7-hit sword combo, ca perfecorm mid-air air slashes or use his Buster Shot and charge it instantly, and most importantly, he can heal himself whenever he wants and always does it with a perfect shield around him. He's like one of the 3 or so only bosses who can heal in the Megaman genre. Ever. and impossible to learn his pattern: you just gotta know how to dodge him and EVENTUALLY, you'll bring him down.

That's a vote in its own. Should the creator of the battle have a vote to make him/herself? I say no. Think about it; during an election, do the people running for office get to vote on who they'd like elected? No, they do not. The thing is, Robocop's vote will be biased because he wrote the thing. He'll have shaped it to appear one way or the other to him, although unintentionally and despite it looking even to us.

Hmm... Tough. Real tough. The way I look at it is this: for the duration of the fight, the Gallade was in such blind rage that he didn't hear a word Alek said. Therefore, the only words he really heard were the final ones.

To make my decision, I had to actually go back and observe the Gallade during their very first battle. From that I determined that the Mon is very stubborn and definitely more than just anger driven. He's corrupted by his devotion to the New Order, his friends and his own pride. No matter what Alek said, this guy's not gonna be the understanding type. He'll defend the "honour of the New Order" and his injured/deceased friends no matter what the cost. He will not think twice about going against the mind of a fifteen year old apprentice, and he definitely won't allow his pride to be tainted by doing it either.

I suppose this is the deciding vote. Bye-bye Gallade, because...

This Psyche battle was a failure.

That's perfectly fine with me. I do not have any valid reason to desire the continuation of his existence, based on what I have read about him, and therefore do not care whether he lives or he dies. Besides, even if @15253 votes, the side that wants to kill Avellon would win by 4-3. Therefore, the first Psyche battle is a failure.

Besides, @Charizard821 and @AstralHunter made clear points, provided explanations, and described in detail the irrationality of sentient beings and the million reasons why Avellon would not listen to a 15-year-old apprentice. Your points were far more comprehensive than anything I can muster, and, as a result, you have won. Congratulations.

You are also correct. Avellon would no doubt allow his vanity, hubris, and the loss of friends take over him, thus leading to his own demise and death by the hands of a powerful, 15-year-old apprentice. However, I doubt Alek will be punished - it's obvious the New Order orchestrated this battle and will perhaps have Alek take the position of Avellon in Avellon's....absence. The emotional damage done to Alek, however, does intrigue me. How will he handle his first kill? Will it break him, or will it make him stronger? I'm curious to see as to what will happen.

That is all I have to say, for I must now prepare to sleep and awaken tomorrow to a day laced with numerous projects that I must complete for my school. How wonderful.
