What's Your Favorite Dinosaur?

13 posts in this topic.

  1. Hello, Squillians!

As the title says, I want to know what you consider to be your favorite dinosaur. Why do you like this dinosaur?

Also, I'm doing a column of fun facts about a dinosaur so if you have a suggestion/have any questions, let me know. ^^
  2. The one @Fluadiddle is always talking about XD she will explain
  3. I've loved apatosauri (apatosauruses?) since I was little because of land before time, though I am starting to develop a love for velociraptors!
  4. When I was a kid I had like 30 of those big plastic dinosaurs and always LOVEDDDDD the triceratops the best (not sure why, I think it was because of it's dignified appearance and blue-green color - at least in my plastic toy version - the whole family of Triceratops' had names that began with "T" and it was lovely). They just seem more chill than a TRex and not as gullible as the Brachiosaurus - again I have no scientific reasoning for this except the expressions and personalities of my childhood toys.

I know I am NOT a fan of the Carnotaurus as they were the mean-guys in the Disney movie "Dinosaurs".
  5. My favorite dinosaur changed rapidly when I was younger, but now that I haven't had to think about it in years, I can safely say that it is the Troodon. I've always been biased toward smart things and loved raptors. These things conveniently overlap in the Troodon.
  6. my favorite dinosaurs are velociraptors
  7. Archaeopteryx are pretty cool. I used to love Triceratops, I still like them but not as much as I used to.
  8. Plesiosaurs (sp?) because I've done 2 different class reports on them in my life :)
  9. Brachiosaurus! I mean, they're basically dino giraffes. They're just derpin' out and eating leaves while their dino cousins eat each other; how can you not love 'em?
  10. Pterodactyls!

Mostly because it's fun to say and I always thought they were cool and different
  11. I think my username says it all.
  12. The epic ankylosaurus! (Let's forget that when I was younger I pronounced it as "ainky-low-saurus.)

It was my assigned dino for a school project in third grade, and I guess it was just love at first sight. I recently played this dino battle game on the Wii at a party, and even though I'm not a videogamer and pretty much just smashed random buttons, my ankylosaurus won every time. I even beat the owner of the game who's probably played it a hundred times.

I also like the sinosauropteryx for a similar initial reason, although this time it was for a seventh grade project. I made a life-size model of one with a two-liter bottle, clay, wood, and feathers! It looked pretty @Snazzy if I say so myself.

And of course, because of Jurassic Park, I also love the velociraptor/deinonychus.
  13. Velociraptor, parasaurolophus or ornithocheirus
