Your drawings are so beautiful! Cricket is definitely my favorite. I love dragons, but I've never been able to draw them myself.

I would encourage you to use colored pencils in your drawings so you can show lighting! It would make the dragons look -extra- glorious.

Great job!

Thank you for your review!!! I love Cricket too :D
I'm sure you'll be able to draw them soon!!!
I did use colored pencils, but I forgot the lighting (lol) but thanks for reminding me, I'll do that for the rest :)

I love these!! Cricket the HiveWing is my favorite dragon. I am also in awe at how realistic your drawing of Faer is. I have always wanted to learn how to draw, but I have yet to put in the time and effort to actually learn lol. The picture of your cat is also really funny, she looks like she's posing for some macabre painting. I hope to get to see more of your art in the future! This was a pleasure to look at.

Thank you so much for your review! I love Cricket too! Thank you! I'm sure one day you'll learn! Yea, I was struggling to make her look at the camera XD THANKS SO MUCH!

Omg I love your artwork! Its so much better than what I would ever be ablee to do!!!!! The last she picture is unfortunately way too relatable... Also why is no one talking about how FREAKING CUTE that cat is??? Like it is beautiful and I just want to squeeze it's little face off, you know? I haven't read wings of fire but those dragons are pure beauty. But yeah I love all of your art <333333

Thanks so much! From your review, I can tell you are a very eager and chatty person, and we are the same age!!! I bet your art is great too!!!!!! I'll post more later :D THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Omg yayyyy! Also yes I am a very chatty person XD

Wow! I love those dragons.

My favorite is probably Starflight, though Cricket is the best drawn in my opinion. She looks absolutely amazing. (I love her relationship with Blue, so wholesome) :)

I'm amazed at your artistic skills. I also have an account on deviantart and enjoy the WoF art there too. If you ever want some inspiration or are looking for constructive feedback on your art I found it to be a great site (just keep the settings on safe for browsing).

I wish you the best of luck in your artistic endeavors and would love to see more in the future no matter what site they're on. ;)

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR REVIEW! Honestly, I agree that Cricket is the best drawn lol. I also love her relationship with Blue, so sweet! Thank you for your suggestion of the site (I'll check it out!) Thanks again!!!

What's your username on deviantart?

Same as here. Dragonight9
I only have a few pieces of art (of dragons) and they were all commissioned by an artist called FrostieGreen. She does a lot of great WoF art. I%u2019d recommend you check her out.

Of course! Thanks! Mine is CATS387

hey there! :]

Dragons are such interesting 'animals' to draw! Since they're fantastical, their anatomy is largely open to interpretation--which makes it easier!--and I love seeing different interpretations of dragons. I've never read Wings of Fire, but a lot of my friends did when I was younger, and I remember loads of fanart! This was nostalgic for me to see, and I enjoyed walking down memory lane again.

Your color usage is a really defining element to these drawings, especially the WoF fanart; I felt instantly drawn to them because they were so vibrant. I wish there was less repetition with the mediums though since markers only give one kind of dynamic to the pictures, when something like colored pencils / crayons / pens could another drawing a completely different style. It could be worth considering if you wanted to expand into perception and depth as well.

As for the realism drawings, the same could be said: Realistic Drawing Guide. I'd suggest using reference photos if you want the drawings to look more photorealistic, *but* a lot of them are shaping up very well, e.g. the cat drawing. Practice makes perfect! I would love to see realism outside of the living as well, and something I would do when I started out was draw random items around my room. You can learn a lot from drawing fruit, furniture, trees, whatnot.

One tip that I have for drawing eyes is to remember that it is a sphere! The eye itself isn't flat on your face, so it wouldn't be flat on paper. Eyelids and tear ducts follow that logic as well, and they have shape that projects away / builds from the base eyeball shape; the eyelid itself creases as well, and each crease layers onto itself. The eyelashes follow the creases of the eyelids, but they wisp towards the middle. I would suggest once again to draw from references!

I hope this helps; art is one of my passions!
