In that old white house,
The shutters are painted brightly blue.
Matching the railings outlining the pearl patio.
Two rusted wooden rocking chairs
Cradle a glass coffee table.
The plastic ashtray is filled to the brim.
He stubbles on the woven welcome matt.
Kicks the door open, throwing his brief case,
Scattering the immaculate ordered shoes.
His head hits the pastel floral wallpaper.
Shortly followed by his fist.
His drunken soar red eyes light up,
Enraging a heart-wrenching wale.
The sunset sheds its last ambers across the horizon.
Longingly grazing each perfectly alined blue roof tile.
The chimney’s solitude glistens its metallic amour,
Releasing fluffy whimsical poufs of smoke.
The aroma of homemade bread seeps into the atmosphere,
Almost too sweetly.
A pan robustly smashes against the light lemon kitchen tiles.
The water from the faucet abruptly shuts off, she whimpers, ”Hello”.
He clinches her perfectly coiled golden locks and presses her porcelain
Skin against the shiny ruby red countertops.
Blood suddenly rushes out of his heart and into his hands,
As he heaves her across the room.
Her rouge lipstick smeared.
Her mascara outlining the tracks of her tears.
And her mauve dress torn at the sleeve and ripped at the bustier.
His hands shaking around her throat, his eyes bulging with rage.
She silently, with peace imitating from her eyes, lets go.
Softly tumbles to the floor.
Her fight is over.
Her freedom is finally restored.
Their white picket fences do not budge with nightfall.
Blue shutters remain shut.
The dull pearl patio still supports two rusted wooden rocking chairs,
Inviting to take a seat.
Ashtray filled to the brim.
In that old white house.

Hello there! I'm here to review your piece

Just keep writing
Wow this is amazing! It was so touching and tragic and beautifully written !
Your are describing the scenario so well. Your not using any emotional words, but the story is so emotional anyway. It's stone cold reality, it is very well done.
I really like how you start and end with the same lines, it is tying it nicely together. It makes it seem like nothing have happened, when so much where actually going on:)
I really like every sentence of this. You are a great writer. The wording of this poem was just amazing.
Your rhyming was great, it didn't seem forced at any time. The poem had a nice flow
Amazing job, well done!
You already said that it needed to be edited so I won't comment on that. The poem lacked emotion in the middle though, you need to add more imagery and make the reader really FEEL what's going on. In the last stanza though, you really did this by describing the commonplace house once again. It's completely shocking that something this horrifying could be happening anywhere at any time in the world, but it is. Therein, lies the true beauty of this poem. It was a little rough around the edges ad needs some work to make it TRULY great, bit you did a good job and I'm excited to see how this turns out
Good Job and keep writing!!!
Hello, darling!
I read the other review and your response, and would like to add that you spelt "mat" incorrectly ("welcome mat"), in addition to there being a full stop instead of a comma (where a comma would carry the sentence the way I think you wanted it to); also, "soar" should be "sore". I think that'll be the extent of my nitpicky critique for this one, but I hope you manage to spellcheck it (and perhaps get that uploaded sometime? I'd like to see it correctly, the way it was meant to be read!).
I think your imagery is absolutely stunning, but I'm a bit thrown off by "rusted wooden" chairs, as, you know, wood doesn't rust. Perhaps another word would be more suitable there. I love the idea of the pearl(y? or no?) patio; I love that I can see the house and the ashtray and everything.
I would also like to recommend that you cut down on the number of adverbs. "Robustly", "silently", and so on only detract from the worth of the piece when they're used ad nauseam - I think this could definitely use a bit of a cutback on those. Your adjective use is a little overwhelming at times, but brilliant - it's really just the adverbs.
I must admit, it was a little difficult for me to read the line "Her rouge lipstick smeared" - not just because it was so short in the middle of longer lines, but because I'm so used to people using "rouge" as a misspelling of "rogue"! My mind automatically corrected what wasn't a mistake.
Also, the verb "enraging" doesn't really make sense with the object "a heart-wrenching wail" - especially when the subject is "his eyes"! His eyes enrage a wail? Perhaps I'm missing a meaning of the word there, but I encourage you to look over that as well.
Overall, a nice piece - thanks for posting! I love reviewing things like this.
This was absolutely beautiful! Your use of imagery sparked my mind and set a tense tone. nI might need to read it twice though to understand exactly whats going on. I'm still confused as to why the man is mad.

I like how you repeated the visuals from the beginning towards the end of the poem. Despite the anger the lines reveal, the poem seems to end quietly. I'm still wondering if maybe the visuals you share of the house symbolize something. I don't really have any worthy criticism for this, other than
'a heart'wrenching wale' should be
'a heart-wrenching wail'.
Also, the 'rusty wooden chair' was a bit confusing. I didn't know wood could rust. You could replace it with a word like 'weary', 'tattered', or 'haggard'.
This was very nice! keep writing and good day

Hope this
Cosmo here for my first review in what must seem like an age.
So! Let me begin.
As an overall poem, I like it! It has a story line, which I like and I think is quite original as well. Using the White house as the main subject, and watching the juxtaposed couple that live in the house fight, and eventually having the woman kill her drunk husband. I think it's an interesting storyline, and you portrayed that very well.
The language use in this I think is very good, however, there are quite a few spelling mistakes which I'll correct now for you.
Stubbles: Stumbles
Alined: Aligned
Ambers (this is just a miss use of wordage, ambers is a colour. I think you mean Embers)
Imitating (this means copying) I think you mean Emanating.
That's all I can see so far.
There is 1 description however, that I cannot understand. "two rusted wooden rocking chairs". Wood doesn't rust, metal rusts, so maybe you mean rot, because old wood rots.
Overall I like it mostly. It does need a little fixing up, but otherwise, good!

Thank you! I was having a lot of difficulty spelling yesterday! I appreciate your review!
