I'm slightly lost as to the intention of this poem. I get that it's a warning, but was it meant to be funny, or just a random poem? I know it's catergorized under "general", but it's still a bit fuzzy. I know you were trying to rhyme something with scared, but "bewared" sounds a bit funny. The last line, I think that "of the grumpy old man" doesn't quite go with "if you get a scare". Shouldn't it be "by the grumpy old man?" Other than these few things, I think this is quite reminiscent of Shel Silverstein.
