Hey, hexglass! Scythe here to do a quick review :)

What I liked:

1. The structure! It was so very intriguing, it's unique quality was what drew me (as a reader) towards it.

2. The first line;

how short we are,

I'm not sure what it is about this line, but I loved it. It's so short and snappy, easy to remember.

What I disliked:

1. This poem felt like it way trying too hard. It's beautiful when a poem has description, but this poem had an abundance of that. It felt as though it was trying to win over the reader, but took it too far and swayed away from the concept, which I failed to register. You're talking about romance, but I don't feel that way.

Nonetheless, good work :)

Keep Writing

This is good. I've gotten in a habit of being afraid to click front-page works to be honest, especially ones with ambiguous titles, which I see as being almost overused by now, but this poem is good and I think it does a good job of actually fitting the words to the shape naturally which seems quite rare (usually it comes off forced to me, like the words are squeezed into a shape, and it might be a clever idea, but they don't really *have* that shape in space and time on their own).

You're poem is really good. The structure is captivating and the ending is powerful.
I also liked the title ;-)

May I ask what you used to format this poem? I have never known how to upload it like this and I would really appreciate it if you could let me know! ^-^

absolutely! I tend to write on Google Docs simply because I can avoid automatic capitalisation, but I imagine you already have preferred sites for your writing process. afterwards, I usually either take a screenshot or use a Snipping Tool to save it as a JPEG/PNG, before inserting it as an image in the Publishing Center (in the space under the tab, where a post usually goes). I hope this helped! if you have any questions, feel free to PM me c:
