So, I am sure you all know about my true story about the overnight trip. But the thing is, I never really thought about what might have happened to him. How did he die? Who did he first haunt?! So, I'm generally making up a backstory for him. I actually have no idea what happened here so I am going to make this up. Enjoy! 👻
I'm guessing this was back when the hiking overnight place was a normal, non-haunted place. It was the perfect class trip. Everyone was having an amazing time, until that night Wilbur did something so stupid, he ruined countless lives for the rest of eternity.
Walter and a group of his friends decided that they were going to go to the top floor of the lodge and play ghost games from twelve to three a.m. Back then, in the year 1968, children were especially stupid back then. And, to make this even worse, the top floor was off-limits for a reason.
The boy clan didn't even have to pretend that they were asleep, because the other boys were having the time of their lives. They were running around, being loud, and eating so much sugar that the teachers were having meltdowns.
"GET THAT SOCCER BALL OUT OF HERE!" Screamed the adults while the boys sneakily gave each other the side eye, grinning.
"Let's roll," whispered Alex, the big boss of the group. The other boys nodded, and they walked out the room. To be honest, they couldn't be more subtle, but the teachers were so busy stopping all that chaos that they couldn't care less. That is, unless they knew what was really going to happen that night.
The boys snuck through the dining hall, with Tim humming the mission: impossible theme under his breath. Wilbur felt pretty scared, as his stomach was tied up in knots. The boys eventually got a staircase. It was fairly new, and remodeled. It did not creak. It was not covered in cobwebs. It was not made of rotting wood.
Eventually, the dude group got the top floor. The top floor wasn't bad, to be honest. It just mostly had storage, and behind that was a show room with a couple of chairs, most likely for presentations. The boys grinned, and Tim sat down on a box.
"Let's play, all light as a feather, stiff as a board." Echoes of agreement rang around the room.
Wilbur broke out into a cold sweat. He whimpered, but gave in to that darn peer pressure, and played the game. And then, he finally made the right decision.
"I am leaving." Wilbur said, and made his way down the stairs. He got so caught up in being mad at the boys that he tripped, and tumbled down to the cafeteria.
After some scratches Wilbur got mad. They hadn't even checked if he was okay! So, he made the worst decision of his soon-to-end life.
"I FELL DOWN THE STAIRS!" Wilbur yelled. The boys immediately raced down to Wilbur, frantic.
"Oooow!" Yelled Wilbur, trying to make them feel bad. The boys gasped, as Wilbur tried to handle his right leg. The dudes cringed.
"Well, let's get back to the dorms." Said Billy. Wilbur groaned, and began limping away.
"Didn't you hurt your right leg?" Tim stared bat Wilbur, who tensed up.
"LIAR!" Yelled the boys. They flare at Wilbur, and pushed his up the stairs to the top floor.
"What are you doing?" Asked Wilbur, as the boys closed the door in his face.
"Maybe you won't be scared here anymore." Said Bob. Wilbur heard the door click loudly, and he knew he was locked in.
Eventually, the boys must have forgotten about him, because Wilbur didn't last a week up there.
He wanted revenge.

Interesting backstory you have for Wilbur. :0 A lost little boy, craving vengeance on any to have the hiking trip. I like it so far. There’s only one thing I really want to talk about: To my knowledge, The Mission: Impossible movies are based off the 1966 TV show of the same name. This story takes place in 1964, two years before the show was made.

Other than that, I really enjoyed this story and I’ll check out part two.
I wish you an amazing day/night.
Thank you for the review! (I'll change the timeline to make it fit in. Thanks for mentioning it to me!)

Hiya! This is a Story Bunny, here to review.
I, unfortunately, have not heard your true story about an overnight trip. Do you think you could tell me it briefly? I really like this story, and I'm excited to see where it goes! How could his friends be so careless? And how will they pay for that mistake later?
Right from the first paragraph, the reader knows something bad is going to happen. How do you mess up a life for eternity? Can't you only mess up a life for life? Unless... he turns his friends into ghosts as well. Oooh, spooky! (This whole concept is, and it's really fun to read.)
Foreshadowing; I like it. Obviously these boys are mischievous, and everything in this is pointing toward a bad future. I worry for them, although maybe they have it coming from being so crazed and immature.
The perfect place for a group of troublemakers to hang out. They're alone with each other and no adults to tell them what to do. You know what's silly, this is saying snuck is spelled wrong, but I know it's a word. It's like spaghettification. It's a real word, but of course YWS doesn't think so. Also, I like the way you set up the scene. The reader might expect a scary place, but you describe it as exactly the opposite.
What is light as a feather, stiff as a board? It's some sort of game, right? How is it played? Maybe they didn't realize he had fallen, so I feel like Wilbur got a little too upset. But that does mean we get to see more of his character! He's pretty different from the others, but also not all that different.
EEK! This is getting bad. What those boys are doing to Wilbur is wrong (and scary!), and they're overreacting waaaaay too much. Wilbur wanted them the care that he got hurt, and they are evil for taking him up to a place where he'll die.
The fact that they didn't remember him shows how much they didn't care about him. Wow.
This is a very lovely piece, and I enjoyed reading it! And now I'm kinda wishing I hadn't made the 10 to the power of 7 keychain (wow that's a long name) an option. I feel like there are better ways to say what I liked and what I didn't than an unexplained rating. If you still want me to rate the quality of your writing, I can, but I think it's better if I don't. It really doesn't tell you anything important.
Anyway, that's it from me! Keep writing your stories, because they're wonderful!
