She sits alone everyday, watching and waiting.
She waits for someone, anyone, to sit with her. Talk to her.
People say that she's weird, but that doesn't bother her.
She knows she's different.
She believes everyone is different, but many try to hide it.
Why? She asks herself everyday.
Why would someone try to hide who they are?
So they are accepted.
That's the answer she came up with.
She watches them everyday.
She watches the way they interact with others.
She watches and waits.

Oh Good Lord...

I can completely relate to this girl! Growing up I knew I was different, but I never saw it as a bad thing. I never tried to hide it. In fact, I was proud of being so wonderfully weird.
Not only is this poem extremely well written, light hearted and truthful, but is also a message to all the wonderfully weird people out there who are or are thinking of hiding it just to blend in.
Caitiemfetters, great job. I appreciate the word choice especially; how the language delivers the message and gives it a child like feeling.
In conclusion, I hope somebody publishes your work some day. The world is lucky to have such truthful writers like yourself
Oh thank you soooo much! I'm glad people can relate to this. Thanks for the review as well.
Hey girl!

This poem says a lot, and I feel it should be voiced. Since a young age we have heard "Be you" "You're unique" "Don't worry about what others say" but while we know we are all different, kids (and adults) don't share themselves as who they really are, instead they share who they think they should be.
"The girl" reminds me of myself in many ways. She is herself so she doesn't get attention.
Okay, enough with my blabbering on about this, time for the review.
The ultimate flow of the poem isn't very good, and I went over it a few times trying to see how it might fit but it's very bouncy and not flowy. You gotta go with le flow, get me?
THANK YOU for capitalizing your title! A+ for that
Overall 9 out of 10.
Good work!

Thanks for your review and I will take in to consideration when I revise it!
Hi, runawaylove here to review your poem!
This is relatable and a poem that seems to e coming straight from the heart. I am a fan of poems that rhyme. Although this one does not, I still like this piece. It flows properly and is the type of free verse that i like reading. It has a very soliloquy feel to it which is remarkable.
So some nitpicks.
The punctuation somewhat disrupts the flow. The usage of full stops is too much and causes unnecessary halts. This could be fixed by substituting the full stops with other more relevant and appropriate punctuation. For example:
"She waits for someone, anyone, to sit with her, talk to her."

This poem has potential to be better with a little polishing. Also, the title is about the girl who watched and waited. In the poem, it is stated what she watches but what is it that she waits for? That part seems a little vague to me. Other than that, I love this piece and it is really sincere. My favourite lines would be
"She believes everyone is different, but many try to hide it.
Why? She asks herself everyday.
Why would someone try to hide who they are?
So they are accepted."
If you have any questions feel free to send me a message. I would be glad to be of help. Keep writing! <3
Thanks for the tips and the review! I try to polish it later.
Hey Caitie!
I really liked this poem~
I think the lines:
"Why would someone try to hide who they are?
So they are accepted."
Are a little weird. I think you need to rephrase 'so they are accepted' to 'to be accepted' or something like that.
Other than that this is a great poem! Also sorry this wasn't a long review~
Never, ever stop writing,
Rachel :3
Thx Rach! I appreciate the tips!
