He slowly seeps into a deep hole,
negativity and darkness overtake his soul.
He can't be saved, it's too lat now,
Let those diggers take a bow.
For they did immensely well,
At making his life a living hell.
He needs assistance to make it out alive,
People to have his soul revive.
They fail, they fail to understand,
the difficulty it obtains just to stand.
To look around and see the dark walls,
Looking up to see what society calls.
He's trapped within this small space,
Those vicious diggers are hard to face.
They look down at him because they're in control,
Their eyes teasing, their eyes cold.
He's not in control of his own,
Destiny doesn't call and he's all alone.
He tries to escape this lonely hole,
Trying to find strength of which society stole.
He tries to numb himself, ease the loneliness,
It continues to linger, consuming all hapiness.
He pierces himself to ease the pain,
He continues life in the deserted lane.
External misery, it's the worst of all.
Listen for when society calls.
He's surrounded by these sound proof walls,
Those around try and comfort as he falls.
They hear noises, but don't listen to his plead,
Unwanted sympathy is what they feed.
External misery, the most dangerous of all,
Feel the hollow overhaul.
They all reach out to assist,
He appreciates but must resist.
Because this is an external misery at its worst,
He'll conquer it alone before he bursts.
For now, he'll subside the unbearable pain,
Of living life in the lonely lane.
The pierce, the consumption,
He has come to the assumption,
this is better than not feeling at all,
Or answering when society calls.
Society controls him with a firm grip,
The diggers watch and make him trip.
Will he conquer life or will it conquer him?
At the moment the future looks dim,
Because the pain won't subside or numb,
with a blade, boiling water or a bottle of rum.
They reach out, but he's too far away,
A bed of external misery is where he lay.
The diggers look on and admire their work,
This hole is inescapable and depression will lurk.
He deals with pain by producing more,
Along he forgets what he's fighting for.
He's not strong enough to defeat this on his own,
Nor can he shield off these sticks and stones.
He's falling and doesn't want to be caught,
He doesn't want his battles to be fought.
He's a lone soldier holding in,
Even though he might not win.
Society doesn't leave his side,
So this will be a lengthy ride.
It calls, It calls for nothing more,
Than external misery, and internal war.
