Deep cuts

The cut's so deep,
The sting feels good.
It's nice to escape,
I'd leave if I could.

I've tried to leave,
But I can't leave you,
You don't want me,
So what should I do?

My hands begin to slip,
Should I try hold on?
Should I let go of this grip?
Because I'm weighing a tonne.

My eyes begin to roll,
My hands begin to shake.
This is taking its toll,
I don't want to be awake.

And what will you do,
Whilst I'm falling apart?
Stay and watch me,
Poison my heart?

This is an empty glass,
But all you see is full.
This may be my breath's last,
You think this is bull.

I had loved you,
through thick and thin.
I'm slowly rotting,
from within.

And here I am,
Shedding one last tear,
Because you are no longer here.

Let me also share,
One last cry.
For the bare,
wound you left by.

I'd rather bare the pain,
of something sharp or poisonous.
Than feeling the pain,
of never seeing you again.
