A guilty pleasure, A harmless sin

Does it make you nervous?
Telling a lie?
Creating a truth,
A who, what why?

With just a fib,
does your blood rush fast?
Twisting reality,
making up the past?

Well you know what?
You're not alone,
Telling truth in a different tone.
A guilty pleasure,
A harmless sin,
A story where there's one way in.

Every action has a reaction,
One told story turns to two.
You lose track of what has happened,
You lose sight of you.

Can you play this game or will it play you?
How many truths are well overdue?

It comes a time when you must own all,
Before the rise turns into a fall.
Before the truth chases you,
Into places of which you never knew.

You can run fast,
But behind you is the past.

I think Amelia Earhart wants you to get some ice cream.
