Note: I AM NOT DEPRESSED NOR DESCRIBING MYSELF, NOR ANYONE ELSE. I just simply had the last line in my mind for a while and wanted to somehow write it down. I might go back and edit this later, though. Maybe this is more of a rough draft?
A chamber of disasters,
Just waiting to happen
It seems like that's what I am
Or at least to you
*
A hollowed-out doll,
A dead plaything for the living
The home phone isn't connected
The call can't be reached
*
Is that so?
Well I wouldn't know.
*
You're right on time,
Just as expected
The bombarded questions
Shot down with regarded answers
*
I really did try,
I can't be perfect
I'm sorry, I'll keep trying
But it seems like I've failed it
*
Is that so?
Well I wouldn't know.
*
I tried to live up to your expectations
My time is growing shorter
I can't handle it any longer
I'm just like a ticking time bomb
*
Ready to explode, any second now
*
You wanted me to do it your way,
Apparently I didn't do it correctly
I apologize, please just accept me
I've tried so hard for you
*
Is that so?
Well I wouldn't know.
*
In the end,
I'm not your friend
I'm actually everyone's target
I can't do this anymore, here comes the explosion
*
I was lied to,
It's simple really
It doesn't matter anyway
It will all soon be over
*
Is that so...?
Well I wouldn't know.
*
I suppose I'm awfully flawed
*
I'm sorry to announce, but it seems the person you are looking for has died...

Wow, this is really cool. If you keep on writing like this, I believe that you will be a great poet as you move on and along. Overall, this is quite okay, nothing to offence. I really liked it.
This part is weird. You wouldn't know what? At least expand this stanza to tell us more.
That is basically it form me. Thank you and bye.

I think the first two lines of your second stanza are your strongest. You convey your message effectively through a relatively interesting image. The problem is that the second two lines of the stanza do not connect, but could probably just be shifted downwards. The rest is really sub-par, the "ticking time bomb" metaphor especially. Not only does it not work because it's such a clichéd metaphor already, but it rides in tandem with the already cliché theme of your poem. Had you not prefaced your poem with a note that separates yourself from the narrator, I probably would have not reviewed your poem, thinking it was just an angry tween who had never read any poetry outside of this site. However, your statement of insincerity means that this poem could have been absolutely anything, and yet you decided to adhere to the "I can't live up to your expectations" theme. Not only did you do that, but you did it in such a boring way. "I'm actually everyone's target" is one of the blandest lines I've ever read in poetry, and it does not read well at all. Pretty much all your problems stem from a clichéd theme, clunky writing, and disconnected lines/images. I suggest working on improving on all of those.
Wow. I don't know if I understood this well, but it felt very dark. This atmosphere of this poem I mean. Overall, I liked it and I think it could use some revisions, as you've said so yourself. Also, I couldn't find anything wrong with spelling or grammar or any other type of mistakes. Nonetheless, I like the message behind it so great job. -IceWinifredd
Thanks! Yeah, I think I'll make an edited version of this later on.
There wasn't really much of a meaning, to be honest. I think that if there was a meaning it would be something as someone trying really hard to be friends with someone, but ends up being bullied and bossed around (and if you count the last line as part of the meaning, then maybe she/he wounds up killing themselves.)
But thanks!!!
You're welcome! It was definitely a good read!
