Words are painful

No gun, No sword, No army or king

Will ever be more powerful than a sentence.

Swords may cut and kill,

But words will stab and stay,

Burying themselves into our bones

To become corpses we carry into the future,

All the time digging and flailing to rip their skeletons from our flesh.

This is a really good poem and I agree with everything you are saying in it. Like in the saying "stick and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me", well, words actually do hurt. I like how you used the metaphors. They are really good. I like that it is short and to the point here. Nice job. Keep up the good work!

On the technical side of things there are some capitalization and punchuation errors. For example the first line should have a period at the end because it looks like the second line starts a new sentence and it looks like from the rest of the poem there sentences with periods too. Unless it was intentional than ignore what I said.

Overall, I liked it. The metephors were interesting and I find it very fitting to write about how words have an impact on other's on a writing site. Good job!

Yes that was intentional but thank you anyways!! ~The Written Girl

This was really good. Your use of imagery really added to the message. It made it more believable and also really showed what you are trying to say. What I really like about it, though, is the straightforwardness to it. A lot of people are fans of poems who keep you guessing and wondering, but I have found that my favorite poems are the ones who's message is written clearly. Again, this was great. Hope to read more from you!

Thank you for the review!! ~The Written Girl
