The wind was wraping itself around her as she ran, Mickey continued to run even after she passed the beach and ran straight into the waving waters that welcomed her, drenching her head to toe. This was her second time here, her first she had a can of beer she had smuggled. She swam in the semi-cold waters her clothes dragging her down, and her shoes lost forever. She wanted to stay there forever, she wanted to go back home. She wanted to be the little girl making the tree house with her brother. She wished she never grew up. That day, that day that she made the tree house with her brother John, and then went to her sister Carla's dance recital, it was the best day of her entire life. She still could remember them arguing over which color it should be painted, whether it be, green or blue, Mickey demanded blue while John demanded green. Carla was amazed, and told them they should do half-half.
So the half blue, half green tree house was made. It was truly a fantastic day. Mickey now searched for the green under the water as she held her breathe and felt the bottom of the shallow part of the sea. If she went too far, reaching the bottom would take breathing masks. She found something slimy like seaweed, and pulled it out. She reached the surface coughing and gulping in air. She looked at the beautiful peice of seaweed in her hand, eurikea! She thought, and then she laughed. She laughed because she did something for no reason but the fun of it, she just did it because she wanted to. This wouldn't be funny if it was any other day but right now she needed something to laugh about.
She started to swim slowly to shore, partly trying, partly drifting with the current. When she arrived on the thick mountain of sand, that continued on with land, she layed down on her back and closed her eyes. She was hoping to dream, hoping to dream about anything but this moment, but being here. Her fake father...She suddenly opened her eyes and immedetly decided that she needed a drink. She didn't know how she was going to drink, or what she was going to drink, but she knew it had to have some content of alcohol within it, it was just what she knew. So she got up and looked around her, and on the pathway that seperated the seaworld from reality the road that led to the house she was staying in--not her house--there was a young man walking, and he looked familiar. She ran towards him, catching up with him quicker than she could believe.
She stood before him, and held out one finger breathing deeply onto his face. Then reconigzed him as the guy who got hurt whom she had offened. She straigtened up and let down her finger, her breathing evened and she suddenly felt nervous and because of that, looked down to the ground; why are there so many co-incidences? she wondered. She sighed, and then noticed that he did not leave, apparently she had his undivided attention.
"Sorry about before," she decided to start with. He nodded.
"I'm sorry too," he replied. She noticed as he adjusted his glasses.
