all my bridges have burned
and soon enough
all the tables will have turned
things look towards the worst for me
with you by my side
I can survive
burns up to the worst degree
burn the bridges down
watch as you let go
burn them to the ground
let go of what you know
cause it isn't true
I know your there for me
I look down at my arms
to see
burns of the worst degree
As long as your with me
I can live on
and be so happy
don't ever let me go
your all I have to show
that I'm still alive and healthy
your my saneness and my soul
burn the bridges down
watch as you let go
burn them to the ground
let go of what you know
cause it isn't true
I know your there for me
I look down at my arms
to see
burns of the worst degree
I'll be there for you to
I'm there when you cry
and Ill always stay true
I'll never let you go
because I've come to know
I need you by my side
and you need me to
(awesome instrumental bit)
burn the bridges down
watch as you let go
burn them to the ground
let go of what you know
cause it isn't true
I know your there for me
I look down at my arms
to see
burns of the worst degree
Burn those bridges down
you don't need them anymore
watch the smoke rise
up to the clouds
float out of existence
leave just you and me
then we can be happy
burn the bridges down
watch as you let go
burn them to the ground
let go of what you know
cause it isn't true
I know your there for me
I look down at my arms
to see
burns of the worst degree
burns of the worst degree
burns of the worst degree
I said burns of the worst degree

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
Your song sounded like a poem to tell you the truth. Well, songs are poetry, but when I think of a song, I see someone singing it. I don't see anyone singing it. I'm sorry. I tell the truth, and I just don't see it being professional work. I like the main points of the story, but to be a song you hear on the radio? I don't know. I guess when I hear someone sing it, then I'd be a better judger than I am now.
Heya, amu. Here I am to save this work from lonely one-review limbo. And if you know me by now, you know I'm going to be brutally honest, so read this at your own risk.
First thing: grammar. I know you know basic punctuation and capitalization. Please, use them. Lyrics and poetry follow the same rules of grammar, simply because not following those rules makes writing difficult to read and gives your readers a bad first impression of your writing skills. By not having any punctuation at all in these lyrics, you've made them pretty darn difficult to read, and you've probably scared off a couple of potential reviewers. So. Grammar.
Next: idea jumping. Take this first verse for example:
In this one verse, you've got burning bridges, turning tables, a "you" by the singer's side, surviving, and burns. That's a lot of ideas there, and they're not all connected. This idea hopping makes the song difficult to follow, much like how random PIGEON! outbursts in a SQUIRREL! conversation do. See? Try connecting your ideas, and making that connection clear. It will make your song much easier to follow.
Lastly, your formatting could use work. Right now, there's a space in between every single line, and that makes it difficult to read. There are formatting options near the bottom of the screen when you go to post new works. I suggest selecting the option "None" so that there's only the spacing you put in, and nothing else.
OK, first of all i like this song, very catchy!! but there's just a few things I'm a bit confused about. just that you use the symbolism of a bridge and how its burning down. well usually it is used as separating someone from another and i wasn't really shore what you meant by it. you make it seem like burning the bridges as bringing them closer and that their there for each other. but maybe I'm just interpreting it wrong. other then that i really like it =]
