They say wishes do come true,
But they don't.
I was a foolish child,
Wishing upon shooting stars,
Star light,
Star bright,
First star I see to night...
Well, it never came true.
Wishing on stars,
Its just for foolish kids.
I know now that I was dumb to have my hopes go so high,
To soar above everything,
And then they would come crashing down,
And reality would rear it's big ugly face at me.
I would run away scared and sad.
My soul,
A little bit more torn.
Then I would wish again,
And my soul it,
It would keep disappearing,
Bit by bit.
Until it was all gone.
So I don't wish upon shooting stars,
Not anymore,
Not since my wishes didn't come true.

I like this poem because I feel like you put your soul into it like most writers have to do to become great! I like the repetition, like you were really trying to get your point out there to everyone. Overall this is a great poem!!
I loved this piece. It was very relatable and interesting, However it needs a little work. Such as the fact that not every line has to be capitalized and not every line need punctuation. Think of a poem as a series of sentences. Just like a sentence flows so does a line of poetry. Several lines can make up a sentence with only a beginning capitol letter and an ending punctuation mark. Otherwise this poem is great.
I really like your poem because it had a lot of
-personal relation
-good word use
-the font and spaces make it easy to read...
It's a very sweet poem and seemingly easy to relate to. Good job.
