Letting go is hard.

In Sweet...

You may not like this
But I'm letting go.
Don't make me depend on you any longer,
Cause I feel my own feelings shattering into
forgotten fragments.

Any other day,
I'd have loved to be in your arms,
but now...
I've found out.
I don't want this anymore.

I've noticed,
that you've never even told me thanks,
that you never tease me anymore,
that you never pay attention to me anymore.

Were my words that distancing?
Were my words too friendly?
Did we ever spark?
I thought we did.
But maybe we didn't.

I'm sorry,
but I can't be under your imaginary umbrella
anymore.

It was all my imagination.
My fault.
Forgive me.
Or get pissed off at me.
I don't care anymore.

Casual poem to let out frustration. (Which is personally much-overdue.)

I can actually relate to this type of thing and maybe that's why I was so deeply affected by your words. I liked how you used "imaginary umbrella" which symbolizes moral support or "imaginary" meaning false support. Either way I can it's beautifully written. I can just hear the word pour off of the page fluently.

I did rather enjoy reading this.
Although I understand that it was a 'casual poem' as you described it 'to let out frustration' I think it was incredibly well written and contained good vocabulary.
I believe that writing poetry/stories is a great way to convey your own emotions and to let out all of the emotions that are inside of you. I myself have often used this technique.
Keep on writing.
Well done!

Thanks! ^^

I am always saying "Glad to've met you" to somebody I'm not at all glad I met. If you want to stay alive, you have to say that stuff, though.
