Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
I want it to be known that I tried getting so many other ppl to read this but alas, to no avail. While, here goes nothing, let's hope translation software is good enough. (I do love how this script looks. Makes me want to learn the language!)
I really like the questions you pose through the poem! Considering that memory is so fallible, we actually do forget so many things but we don't get a choice in what fades from memory, at least not really. You can make an effort in keeping some stuff alive in your thoughts but ultimately... you wouldnt know what details you're missing. And the brain do loves making things up so you won't notice.
I also like the reminder that we often remember the bad stuff more vividly than the good things. And that we can actively choose to engage with the positives if we only make the effort :3
Heyy! I stumbled upon your poem while looking for works to review so here I am
I haven't reviewed a poem before so please forgive me If this isn't a helpful review. I thought I should give it a try since I don't think there are a lot of Hindi speakers on YWS.
I haven’t reviewed a poem before, so please forgive me if this isn’t super helpful. I still wanted to give it a try, especially since I don't think there are a lot of Hindi speakers on YWS and they'd have to translate to read this.
Heyy! I came across your poem while looking for something to review, so here I am
This is such a powerful and thought-provoking question. What would we choose to forget if forgetting were possible. Would be choose to forget our pains or happiness? You have shown the inner conflict between pain and happiness beautifully throughout the poem.
However, at first, I did misunderstand what you meant by "Agar sab kuch yaad na rehta,
toh kya bhoolti tum?" I initially read it as something like "If we couldn't remember everything, would you forget". I had to reread it to fully grasp what you meant. Since this is such an important opening line, you might consider tweaking it slightly for clarity.
I loved how you explored the instinct to forget pain, but also acknowledged that those hardships are what makes our stronger and they are what shape us. We wouldn't be who we are without those painful moments.
The shift from pain to happiness is also very well handled. Instead of presenting happiness as simple or pure, you question it, which I really liked.
I am a little confused as to what you mean here. What do you mean by "jo baanti hai?" And it would be great if you explored why we should choose khushiyaan jo baanti hai.
Did you mean "banai hain" here? Because "khushiyaan tumne baanti hain" doesn't really make sense to me.
Overall, this poem feels honest and incredibly thought provoking. It leaves the reader thinking rather than just feeling, which is always a sign of meaningful writing.

Thanks for the review sara. What I'm comparing in the khushiya part is the two types of happiness, one that YOU get from people from whatever they've done for you and second is the happiness you get from helping someone else. So that's what I mean by baati hai, to tumne dusro ko di h or usse tumhe khushi mili h
Ooh, thank you for clarifying
ong amazing literally my favourite so far from you I can't wait to review this once my exams are over
